Man, why can't my hubby do something as awesome as this?

The hubby and I just did this recently — it's not a bad thing to do if you have the time to invest.

I'm not in the north — I'm in New England, and my COSTCO does NOT carry the Mexicoke. :(

@Epell I can usually get 20 - 30 minutes out of one, depending on the size. I use rectangle-sized ones (about 8 x 10 inches) when I go to bed at night; I'll toss one in about 5 minutes before I go to bed to make a cool spot (either the pillow or by my feet), and then I'll toss it over my hip and I'm usually asleep

You can absolutely do the same with rice! Pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and you're good to go. I don't know that bugs are a problem (or if they are, I've never come across it).

Rice bags! I love these little suckers. It's essentially a bag filled with rice and then stuck in the freezer. When you get hot, take one out and put it around your neck/shoulders, or on the small of your back or on your hips (laying down, obviously). You could also use buckwheat.. and they're pretty simple to make.

If you're eating fruits or vegetables, you're eating carbs. Just not "processed" carbs.

While I generally subscribe to this train of thought, I've found that having a nightly routine to 'wind down' is more important than where that winding down happens. I don't like having a TV/Computer in the bedroom, but reading for 30 minutes in bed or playing a handheld video game system really helps me to relax and

Hm. I might have to look into that... I've never been that big on soy milk, but it might be nice to change it up!

It's not a bad guide. I personally follow their ratio guidelines rather than their mealplan because their mealplan can get expensive (it doesn't reuse any meals, so you're buying groceries for 21 separate meals, every week). You can also follow their 'portion' approach — I find it fairly easy to follow as long as I

Depending on what you're eating and how intense your workout is, though, eating more might not be a bad idea. Take the P90X program for example — their 'fat buster' diet for the first 30 days has you eating at least 1800 calories a day, mostly in lean meat and veg and keeping processed carbs to a minimum. The second

Whoever told you that apparently got 'insure' and 'ensure' confused... to ensure is to guarantee, to insure is to protect. Maybe it still works, but it doesn't quite have the same feel...

Have you looked at ANY pasta? 2 oz of just about any pasta is roughly 220 calories. A pack of ramen is 3 oz. In regular pasta that'd be 330 calories. So the ramen noodles are a little worse for you than regular noodles, is worth 1.5 pasta servings, and then add whatever is in the broth. 1.5 servings of pasta + sauce

Another thing to keep in mind... if that tire is having a hard time coming off (you're pulling and pulling and it just won't detach), kick it! Kick it twice! As long as you don't kick the car off the jack the wheel should loosen and you should be able to pull it off and put on your spare.

For those concerned about rust... what about lining the tea tin with something? Like liquid/casting latex, or even resin? Would that be enough of a barrier between the tin and the soil?

I definitely second the read. It's a fantastic fun book.

I would say preferably both, if your hair is long enough to do so — put it in a braid, and then put it in a bun, and then if you have anything to cover it with (Some sort of fabric bun cover (non-decorative) whatever) use it. I don't work with dangerous machinery like this, but I put my hair up like this when doing

Hmm.. I have no idea what your eating habits are like, but when I was eating carb-heavy I always wanted to take a nap around 2 PM. When I switched and started eating more protein and veggies, I no longer felt the need to crash.
