@Curves: I agree. That "aquarium" is sure death for almost any species you put into it... Discounting how there's no filtration and no heating element, there's so very little room to swim around in there and little room to actually let the fish grow. :(

@Frequenter: Please do not keep a goldfish in a bowl of this size. It is very inhumane, even for a feeder goldfish. A feeder goldfish should have a minimum of 6 gallons of water, due to the amount of the waste that they create and the amount of swimming space that they need to be healthy, if you want to keep them as a

@PinballFan: I agree, and disagree, sorta. I agree that it's horrible conditions, but I disagree that a single betta could be kept humanely in such an aquarium. It doesn't look like there is any place to adequately attach a heater to, and technically a betta is a tropical fish. While they CAN be kept in cooler

@BillBaard: By Pump, do you mean an airstone or a filter? If you're talking about an airstone, you're incorrect - fish can live perfectly fine without any kind of water agitation (and in fact, many prefer it so; many bettas, angelfish, and gourami will appreciate still water more than those with currents). If you're

@Audiyoda: Really? Any time I've gone to get eyeglasses, all the optician does is take the PD, enter it in her little computer, and then try to upsell me on different types of lenses and frames. How hard can it be to get your optometrist to measure your PD instead of the optician? Or just walk into one of those 1-hour

@Papsky: Senns have fantastic earbuds. My mother in law had the regular crappy kind and has used them for years. When they finally died, I gifted her a set of Senns (nothing fancy - they were a lower-end model). That was over a year ago. She STILL sends me e-mails about parts of songs that she's never been able to

@Daetan Bayar Huck: I wish I could promote this — this is exactly how I feel (though, the last time I checked, you couldn't sync decks online with the Android app, but I hear that it's coming).

@Toshi: 7 hours of homework. Had my Halloween fun yesterday night, and now it's time to buckle down and make up for stuff I didn't do yesterday. And eat candy. :)

@Synthfilker: I dunno where you went to school, but in HS we only had Algebra 1, Geometry 1, and Algebra 2.... I can pretty much figure out that you're not going to lose your bones, but I have no idea what this "series" is you're talking about or how it relates to the problem at hand... A simple explanation would be

@Pepper5025: Yep! It doesn't come in a can, like its UK counterpart — it comes in a bottle more closely resembling the bottles that corn syrup comes in. If you head to Amazon and look for Lyle's golden syrup, one of the results is of it in a bottle — that's the one I've found at grocery stores.

@Bryce Jamison: Most US grocery stores now carry golden syrup (usually Lyle's Golden Syrup) in the baking section, right next to the corn/karo syrup.

@Joe: I'd gladly pay a buck and get rid of the in-game ads.

Petroleum Jelly/Vaseline works better than any chapstick. Put some on before you hit the sack and in the morning the dry skin feels much better.

@cmdtacos: I think that sometimes the crisper doesn't work as intended. I ALWAYS keep fresh veggies on hand, and I go through them pretty fast. but I find that no matter what I do, if I put my lettuce in the crisper it is inevitably wilted the next day. =\ Also, in many cooler temperature areas, you can leave fresh

@Ayepecks: No, it was completely warranted. People are dumb, and sue over dumb things. Just because this isn't doesn't mean your doubt is entirely misplaced. :)

@sepirioth: Yep. I'm using a PS2 controller with a USB converter. So much easier than playing with the keyboard.

Absolutely. I love syncing across multiple platforms/OSes seamlessly and taking it on the go via firefox portable. I don't use another browser besides firefox, and I'm old and crotchety and set in my ways too much to try every browser that comes out nowadays. I'd pay $10 a year.

@phydeaux98038: Here's a second recommendation for Tasker. I have it set up in much the same way for going to my classes at college — When I'm in range of my school's wifi, my phone automatically goes to vibrate. When I'm in the range of the wifi and it's during a class, my phone will turn itself to silent and

@DarkSolstice: I wouldn't like to see my monitors dueling at home either. Sounds like it could get... messy.
