I stopped by for a little while - unfortunately, just after the open bar dried up - and it seemed a nice little shindig. :)

@Fernando Jorge: Maybe it's just me, but I have found that many games are far better at offering subtitles (that you can turn on/off) than they were just a year or two ago - and some of these games have "advanced" subtitles, which offer extra sensory location that's great for the deaf. It's not a large number of games

@snowtires: I end up having to pay 2.50 for the tiny washer and dryer in our apartment's basement, so I'm right there with you. We also have a tiny kitchen that's already overrun under the cabinet with recycling bins and trashcans, and cleaning supplies. Unless I want to store dirty rags with my clean dishes I don't

@infmom: That's the best kind of problem to have! :)

2.6.

@OkayOctane: Not a straw, but it's like a mini-turkey baster. Instead of using it to suck up juice for a turkey, you use it to suck up snot from a kid's nose, much in the same way (by squishing the little bulb part).

@OkayOctane: Good god, man, you don't think that someone puts their mouth to a baby's nose and.. sucks out the snot, do you? o_O

@UGAdawg: Trying to manage bills when you get paid weekly isn't fun either. :\

I use a combination of Google Calendar and Thunderbird to manage my bills. Google Calendar will send a text message to me x days before a bill is due (usually 1 day before for most bills) for a simple reminder. I then import that Google Calendar into Thunderbird. On Monday, it's as simple as switching from the Mail

@BigJon80001: I headed over to my Target to look for some, and I wasn't able to find any! :(

@HurtsSoGood: Oh god, Mythbusters would be a deal breaker for me. =\

For anyone who wants to go with the old-style globe type lights (not the G12 or G25, those are too tiny), you can head over to Big Lots and pick up a box of the G40's. They're roughly the same size/shape as the Empire lights. That's the only place I've been able to find strings of them (besides ebay).

@heartlessgamer: When did I say I didn't read the fine print? I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. I know going into the contract that the company has already told me it's not going to live up to it's promise (it's advertisements). Doesn't mean I have to be happy about it.

@heartlessgamer: "The problem is ISPs are allowed to advertise this way." "As with anything, you can't believe the advertising"

@heartlessgamer: I never said I expected "99.999% SLA-level service for essentially pennies on the dollar", but I *do* expect that companies give me what they advertise. If I'm paying $50 for a service that includes service at x speed (whatever that speed may be), then I expect x speed (at a consistant rate - I'm not

@Terry: That's great that you feel Comcast is doing you a great service, and that their pricing is appropriate. You're probably one of their few satisfied customers. However, I'm not a satisfied customer. When I'm paying for a service, I expect them to deliver the goods that they say they will, consistently. I don't

@Terry: You get a quality service, so you feel justified in paying whatever amount you're paying.

@xrmb: I have that issue too - Normally I can get them to drop my bill to ~ 70 (their typical promo rate for internet + telly) but they just jacked my rate up again. I called, twice, to see if anyone would reduce my rate for me again and not a thing.

@Joseph Lau: It would suck for tiles, but that'd be perfect for windows...

@mobiusuk: If you use the browser plugin, it gives you the option of changing the currency when you go to save an item to your wishpot
