Buy an IS300 for $2500 and spend the rest on summer and snow tires. The 2JZ lasts forever, I’m at 188K and that’s basically just broken in. The snow tires solve any winter driving your concerned with, I live in WNY and never have a problem with snows, not even with my 86 MR2 and 90 Miata. They’re not big but the

I get what your saying but your taking it out on the wrong people. I’m a middle class engineer who happens to work at the plant where GM machines it’s supercharged V8's and assembles all but the Vette. These buyers make it possible for me to have an incredible job and I also get the satisfaction of knowing when I see

The whole stigma around “built not bought” always bothered me. Sure they didn’t build the car but them buying it means others get to live their dream of building these cars for a living. Hell even I have a pretty awesome job at GM at the plant where they machine the supercharged V8 heads and blocks. Every Z06 or CTS-V

Come to Buffalo! Less traffic, cheap housing, great food, friendly neighbors! Just be ready for the Snow (TM)

thank you, this is what I expected

Do you know how complicated it is to manage 4 million miles of roadway? All the while losing revenue? Not to mention the countless numbers of employees stretched across the country.

Get a 996 or E46 M3. Those are just around the bottom of the depreciation cruve. Not new enough to be impressive, not old enough to be classic (yet), and they were the best that the 00's had to offer.

Exactly. Smart money is on European stuff from the 00's IMHO. 996's, E46 M3, associated AMGs. After the Japanese crash, it’s not likely American cars filled the void much until much later. Those European models are just dirt cheap for what they are right now (911's and M3's for under $15k?!), and as it goes more will

Seems kinda strange. I guess I made the right decision to stay as an employee at GM. They’ve been doing pretty good with business, made the smart move to axe the European brands and managed to restructure South America to make profits now. South Korea is still a bit up in the air but combine our profitability and the

I disagree to the extent that big sedans don’t sell all that well, certainly not boats. But crossovers, that is a market they got to far far to late. Crossovers and SUVs are the boats of today, easy to get in/out, comfortable with enough power to not worry about merging to the highway. They need really good crossovers

I work at a plant that builds the LT1 engines and I can’t bring myself to get a Camaro over a Mustang. I want to like it so much but from the outside it’s at best a hotwheels toy and from the inside it’s a tank.

I love that you can see out of them

Im cross shopping a Mustang GT with a 996 911 if that counts :D

With so many sold there are bound to be lemons, by in large reviews I’ve seen on reliability have been very favorable for the 2015 to 2017s. The 5.0 is a durable engine. Of course I don’t expect civic reliability out of a 400hp GT from the US. Time will tell in the long run but it’s likely too soon to tell.

My wife has an 08 Sentra and I feel the same way any time I drive it, especially back to back with my Lexus IS300

The SS helped prices a bit, but most are still above the $40k range so GXPs have been pretty constant in the $30-$35k range. I think what probably hurt G8 GXPs more is that 2nd Gen CTS-Vs are droping a bit, some decent examples can be had in the $35k range.

Great cars, though mine will probably never get more than I paid for it (granted that was only $2k) being an auto with over 188K. But I enjoy it for what it is, and I’ll drive in to the ground.

I do really love mine, my only wish is that it had a manual but since mine is an 01... Anyway your right about the mileage, I’m just over 188K but still driving strong.

Exactly, this thing is designed with the intention of being strapped right over the existing ducting, electrical, and frame of the current dashboard. It’s inexpensive, easy, and it’ll be built quickly for ride sharing. Most people have their phones as it is so you don’t need more than one screen, and anything fragile
