Thoughts on why there was what appears to be a Hellcat and an F-Type in with the caravan? Perhaps the Jag for exhaust note comparison, and the Hellcat to understand how to prevent heatsoak within five minutes on the road?

It can, but it requires a fair amount of additional machine work so that everything will continue to move freely.

“vehicles it’s likely to compete with in that low-$30K range”

My Mazdaspeed6 is up and to the left, it is an M6.

This is all I see under the cover.

Not when people in the market for an M4 are going to laugh at their power lunch bros who pull up in a Camaro. Nobody is cross shopping the two. It’s the same problem Cadillac runs into trying to compete with BMW and Mercedes. The product might be as good or better, but the image is a dumpster fire.

Does it justify the price? If you had the cash and in the market, would this be your car of choice or would you look at something else? I’m in the market for a new family sedan, but struggle with some of the interior quality (knobs and switches from the rental bin).

I’m with you on those sentiments. I love, LOVE the looks of the Challenger, but it’s hard to stomach the fact that it’s still running on an antiquated chassis from the Daimler era. I would never expect them to serve up some corner-carving, apex-devouring monster chassis, but at least let me know you’re trying. Also,

Perhaps a history lesson is in your future...

From what I can recall from the Super Street or Import Tuner article on this car right around the time of the original release of F & F, this car should have had an H22 swap. Given that the current owner though it would be a good idea to lop the roof off a wagon, that doesn’t exclude the possibility that they not only

I appreciate that they have fixed the egg shaped rear end, at least from what I can tell in this photo. If it had a more sloped back like the Audi A7, I wouldn’t be mad at it.

You can’t make this shit up

Any Fox you find for $1500 will probably destroy itself the moment you hit the loud pedal on your twin turbo LS swap.

So true, ultimately I think we all knew it was going to be a safe, middle of the road name to attract the most viewers possible. Car enthusiasts are a lock. “The Beige” however needed something, well, beige. Gearjammin’ with Clarkson & Friends was never going to happen.

You’d be surprised. My wife is adamant that she will keep our son rear-facing as long as possible, which some studies say up until four years old is recommended. He’s already 33" tall though @ 13 months so there is a high possibility she will change her mind once he starts having to hang his legs over the seat back.

Is there a reason you left out the new Fusion Sport with the 325hp 2.7 v6 ecoboost and awd? Pricepoint too high? It sounds like a winner on paper but I worry they will tune the engine and trans to be underwhelming of its stats.

Like many I am sure, through my father who grew up with a love of cars. There was always a hot rod project in the garage growing up and I naturally became curious as to what my dad was doing out there for hours on end every weekend. The bond I developed with him leaned over the fender of his ‘53 Ford and the countless

Correct, but even that small styling cue breaks it up enough. On the 3, with that pronounced body line right at the top of the bumper, makes it look unfinished. I can’t help but see the outline and think that’s where a grille was supposed to go but they just ran out of time. Smooth it out and do away completely with

Right on, that’s my rub with the design as well. Going with no grille isn’t a terrible idea and makes perfect sense on these vehicles, but don’t then give us the silhouette outline for our brains to see the space where a grille would look right at home.

My current life. Our first will eventually be of age for forward facing (hooray boss 302!), but if we want another that’s out of the question unless I find a way to convince my better half that it’s a good idea to buy a $35k 2-day cruiser.
