I’m probably in the minority, but I like it. I’m tired of the endless sea of black on black on grey on charcoal, or middle-management light khaki. I like the bold tan, it reminds me of Volvo’s Atacama interior on the S60R.

I understand what you’re trying to say, but I think the logic is flawed. What makes you think the actual cost is anywhere near $20,000 for BMW who buys in huge volume? Not to mention that it is always many times more expensive (especially from a dealer) to purchase add-on items after the fact than it is to buy them as

THIS, so much this. I am 6’10 and sat in a ‘13 Golf R last week. In comparison to the ‘14 Focus ST I had also sat in that day, it was like getting upgraded to first class in terms of overall space. I love a small agile car but need lots of leg room, somehow the last few generations of Golf manage to pull off both.

There are at least three in my neighborhood alone, two of which are owned by the same household! It’s crazy

The smell of well seasoned tools, especially wood handle screwdrivers. You know that smell when you open up your father’s or grandfather’s old toolbox and that scent of hard work, engine oils, grease, and gasoline that has percolated for 20+ years hits you right in the face. It is by far one of my favorite smells of

It’s pretty close, but the smell fades just as fast as your dignity.

If your reason behind not buying something is because the manufacturer made a defective product, well, you probably have a lot of hand made furniture and appliances in your home (that you also designed and constructed yourself), and I would assume you walk everywhere.

I don’t know that anybody is trying to say that at all. GM is clearly at fault for installing faulty equipment that could create a situation where a majority of drivers wouldn’t know what the fuck to do in those few seconds before the accident was imminent. But, at the same time, people with shitty driving habits, or

I’m picking up a Dick Dastardly vibe off that front end.

The people who will interpret automatic braking as “I can now pay NO attention and the car will just figure it out for me” won’t be prepared for when/if there is a system failure and they fly through a red light crowded intersection at 50 mph.

All this concept talk, and no mention of their open top truck, the Sidewinder???

Neutral: I’m satisfied enough that I can’t bring myself to justify a new car purchase, but perhaps it is really just settling? My 2007 MS6 GT has pretty much everything I need for a daily driver. It looks good, it gets decent mileage, it’s a manual, it makes all the right boost noises, and it has four doors to get my

6’10 here, the struggle is all too real. The worst are the tiny 3-across seating planes, if I don’t spring for the emergency row seating at a premium price I might as well not even bother.

I was in the same boat, then I discovered that somebody maybe 20 houses away in my neighborhood has TWO of these, one purple and one burnt orange/red.

VPG MV1, it’s proportioned like you would draw a car when you were seven.
