Yep, cookies are how I went to camp for two weeks every summer. I hope all of these girls get to experience the bonding and adventure of camp. Some of my best childhood memories are from GS camp.

Girl scout camp is one of the jewels of the scouting program. I went to an east coast GSA sleep away camp (“Hello, all you men and monkeys!”) for a decade and it it contributed to building a worldview where women could do anything.

This is so heartwarming. ♥️ I wish I could give each one of them and their families a permanent home. I was in Girl Scouts for 4 years...some of the best memories of my life. I grew up on welfare and my mom was very young. I’m so thankful that she saw the value in Girl Scouts. She ended being my troops co-leader.

I think my first ever official tween girl outing to the mall, we were on a mission to buy yin yang and/or peace sign necklaces at Claire’s followed by lunch at Sbarro and dessert in the form of a giant jawbreaker from the Sweet Factory. Best $20 I’d ever spent at that point.
