I agree. Its not an easy thing. But it not being easy, and not mattering, are vastly different.

As a former military EO SNCO, your story makes my heart hurt but even more painfully it does not surprise me. I am so sorry that your comrades didn’t do the right thing and I’m sorry that you knew reporting the harassment meant an eventual end to your career. It shouldn’t be that way in either case, and overwhelmingly

Jordan claims Oliver grabbed her, pushed her, and slapped her. She says he told her, “You think you’re smarter than me, don’t you? You always have. You think you’re better than me. You think I’m dumb.” The people on the porch quickly dispersed.

There’s no easy way to do it, but then again there’s never an easy way to do the right thing, that’s why it’s the RIGHT THING. If doing the right thing were easy, it wouldn’t be a big deal when people do the right thing.

I had a bully in 7th grade who held me against a table and punched me for several minutes in school. I was a really small kid and this guy was massive. Lucky for me he wasn’t hitting me with full force, but it still hurt and I struggled to get away. It was when classes were changing and students AND teachers walked by

The people on the fucking porch...

Yeah, that part stuck out to me as well. It’s important because it reinforces the idea that sexual assaults don’t occur in a vacuum. Whether it’s the child being molested by a parent while the other parent keeps everything hush-hush, or a circle of acquaintances who know “that dude is sketchy” or even (as in this

The people on the porch quickly dispersed. Jordan says Oliver dragged her across the house to the bathroom and threw her into the tub, threatening to urinate on her: “I started screaming at him and the noise I was making concerned him enough that he yanked me out of the tub and told me he wouldn’t if I shut up.

The speed with which they shit themselves on twitter after this went public was amazing. Not sure if my favorite was Lyons lying about apologizing to Zoe Quinn and getting called on it immediately, or Auerbach acting like this was somehow unfair and improper by Buzzfeed.

The Quicker Fucker Upper

Well which one? The home run one is patently stupid, and it’s not unreasonable for me to say so.

Driving along, that song comes on, crank it up, belt it out. Middle age retreats and indestructible youth revives for 3:36 minutes.

This was the first thing I watched when I heard the news.

I’m 54 year old. Tom Petty and his music have been a constant in my life since I’m 13. I’ve worn out his records and seen him perform more times than I can count. He never quit. He has a new album and just finished a tour — he never became a “play the greatest hits at the county fair” guy.

I was treated as a criminal. I wasn’t given a chance to explain myself. I wasn’t asked: What happened? I was just thrown behind bars. I felt like I was seen as a monster.

“I was shocked and scared and I hit him. The next day he was removed and I was arrested. I was treated as a criminal. I wasn’t given a chance to explain myself.”

Because cops here believe they exist to protect each other instead of serving the public. It’s them against us so regardless of our innocence, we’re all suspects until we prove otherwise.

Trump isn’t Bettlejuice. He doesn’t become less powerful if you avoid saying his name. He’s the president of the United States, a job that at least used to be considered the most powerful position in the world.

I think the suggestion that women are more emotional and can’t handle high stress jobs is sort of rich coming from a person that wrote a 10-PAGE MANIFESTO about HR.

Somebody seriously needs to fuck up Mitch McConnell’s shit.
