She basically did the same thing to her granddaughter that she did to Daya - shutting down the adoption was no different than shutting down Daya's dreams of being an artist after her summer camp experience. When a light appears at the end of a tunnel, Aleida will snuff it out unless there's a direct benefit to her.

It's reality. Recidivism rates among convicted felons are pretty high. According to a Pew Charitable Trusts study released in 2011, more than four in 10 inmates are back in prison within three years of release.

YES. I completely agree! My heart broke just a little when Donaldson called Sophia "honey" - it was a lovely touch.

It could be less than 12 months - Daya's been pregnant for nearly the entire series. And Taystee *was* released, but returned. So was Vause.

Agreed. And whoever's doing Gomez's makeup for Flores should be nominated for an Emmy - in reality, she's a stunner! http://ia.media-imdb.com/im…

I don't know. I think Fox pimped the living hell out of WWP! Network promos, publicity tours…I think they put a lot of eggs in the WWP basket. If it was conceived of as a miniseries…I hope it stays that way. Nothing rankles me like a premise stretched too thin in the service of greed.

Ha! Agreed. And I thought LOST was a TV show that left the airwaves (thousands of ) years ago, and that this was a discussion thread about WAYWARD PINES.

"Healy is basically in love with Red now, which…I can’t really even deal with that right now, if I’m being honest."

As soon as the dog was introduced, I knew something awful would happen to him. I was ready - eyes and ears covered.

I forgot about the pigs…because I couldn't watch that scene, either.

And here I thought I was just a garden-variety sociopath… ;-D

Carol's version of "the Quicken."

Jessie's husband had the A-stamp, too.

Same here.

I couldn't watch that scene. I can watch people and walkers on TWD die left and right…but I cannot watch anything involving pain or death and animals. The dogs a few weeks back, Buttons last night, Rick's horse when he was in Atlanta…nopenopenope.

Because the kid's not stupid. He recognizes that the supply … office? Closet? Whatever…was closed. Olivia was at the party and not there to supervise. The place was dark. And most importantly, the kid saw her in the gun room, didn't he?

The original lunch ladies episode was awesome. Surprisingly, unexpectedly emotional. I loved it. They brought the winner back to judge another competition a couple years later.

He was. His stint is over after Season 2.

John Higgins is the Scottish chef, I believe. And yes, Scott Conant hates raw red onions and improperly prepared pasta.

I know I started watching BCS because I wanted to see if or how Vince Gilligan could possibly come up to the level of BREAKING BAD. But now that I'm several episodes in, I'm staying for Jimmy/Saul *and* Chuck. But I do agree with much of what you're saying - this isn't the moral opera, and I don't think it will be
