Thanks for the article! I just started trying my hand at nightsky photography. The key for me was the right lens. I did some reading and got a Rokinon 16mm f/2.0.

It’s worth noting that even a GoPro4 can take decent star photos (GoPro introduced night modes or basically up to 30 second exposures in the 4). Combined with the same stacking methods I made the photo below just leaving the GoPro in timelapse out overnight. It was basically my jumping off point for getting into
