No but they are adorable! Aha, thanks for the link!

I like that except for Garnet's absolute disinterest in interacting with humans aside from Steven, Connie and Greg. I was thinking maybe Pearl might benefit a lot from the second step as she seems like the kind of gem to over think and trip up on delivery.

Ha! I didn't even notice!

That kind of threw me off too. I definitely miss the run sequence in the first intro, but Garnet's smile in the beginning is just !!!!!!

Have you read any of the SU Comics? There was a short about Pearl and Connie geeking out over an adventure/epic novel which fits right in line with both of their romanticism.

Other of my own stray observations:

I'm also incredibly fond of Steven's ongoing animosity with the beach's seagulls.

Aha, I should have read the comments before I posted mine. I definitely think that the show's been heavily angling that backstory for Pearl.

I mean, really, I understand feelings of disappointment, especially since the original VA weren't at all part of discussion, but this is a reboot. New direction, new show, new actors. Actors who are young and new to the game and deserve an opportunity to break into it. Tara Strong has had a very successful career in

Of all the fantastical and unrealistic things present in this franchise, your biggest gripe is that there's a strong female character? Who is overpowered by Mad Max multiple times during the film but manages to gain the upper hand through cleverness, speed and general resilience born through survival?

Anyone else see the screenshot of the "No Home Boys" novel in Amethyst's room? I'm torn between being heartbroken over it and enjoying the call-back and continuity from "On the Run"

Those were my thoughts exactly.

On another note, was anyone getting some parallels to Greg's initial infatuation with Rose?

"The end. Forever. And even after that."

Hey, people gotta do what they gotta do!

I don't think we've gotten enough Gems + Rose interaction to say what each of their relationship was with her.

I'm pretty sure Word of God confirmed Ruby/Sapphire was romantic.

I definitely interpret the relationship as more familial. During "Arcade Mania" (I think) there was a throw-away line where Pearl reacted with extreme concern when Steven got hurt, but basically said "Suck it up" when Amethyst said something along the lines of "I got a boo-boo". Made a lot more sense where Amethyst

I'm thinking it was a cross between the embarrassment and the realization that mocking the sincerity of his (and Steven's) father's feelings was a pretty shitty thing to do.

Sour Cream is quickly becoming my favourite side-character for this exact reason.
