The first one really sets the bar high for a pulling-off-rubber-masks quota. I’m not sure any of the sequels have been able to top that, but I’m willing to be proven wrong.

Keep at it...HK just gets even better. And make sure you’re taking the time to explore. As another poster said, there’s a very quick path to Hornet if you find it.
Wow, Booker really knocked those straw men down...look at him go!
Exactly. As a vegetarian, I shy away from stuff that too accurately replicates real meat. It feels weird to eat usually...portabellas and tofu really are the best alternatives because they feel like their own thing.
The Rickman/Thompson story is also the best because of the delightful stopover to Rowan Atkinson’s jewelry store.
I’m not sure you can call Diablo 3 “great” at any point in its history. Acceptable at best.
See the thing is...I think Will Smith maaaaybe could have lived up to that performance. When he was at his peak in the late 90s/early 00s. Nowadays he’d have to try way too hard to capture any of that kind of energy.
I’m a simple man...I see bitching about Kinja and I upvote (or like...or recommend...whatever the hell you call it in this god forsaken platform).
Reporting from the future, I can confirm that this show is great to catch up on. Maybe not “binge” exactly, but a steady drip of 1-2 episodes a night.
Good recommendations...will have to check these out. Just started up with Mike Nelson’s book podcast, 372 Pages We’ll Never Get Back, which I strongly recommend if you like mst3k.
Yeah Big Short was good, but after reading the book, I feel like most of the 4th wall breaking techniques he used actually made the details harder to follow than just reading about them outright. The performances by Bale etc really carry it though.
AV Club is currently the lowest score on metacritic (58, to the 71 average), but it’s not a wild outlier or anything. is AV Club actually get listed on RT? Didn’t see it there.
(Late post but)... catching up on this season on Amazon prime, I could make out the scene fine. Not sure if they adjusted the brightness or if I just keep my living room pretty dim. I actually hate when “dark” rooms or “night” scenes are way too well lit, so I quite enjoyed the scene.
Man, I wish I had liked Ragnarok more. I had heard it was SO good, and it seems designed me for.... I love taika waititi, Zep’s Immigrant Song kicks ass, 80s aesthetic is my thing. And yet, it was just...ok? Still felt way to much like a formulaic superhero movie to me, despite the weirder parts.
I’m not the biggest Marvel fan...but really like this ranking. Iron Man 2 and Hulk definitely deserve to be at the bottom...really hated both of those. Black Panther probably a bit high, but everything else I’ve seen seems about right.
I would use it for lines of dialogue that seem really important but I can’t quite make out what they’re saying. Or I guess I could turn on subtitles because apparently I’m old as fuck now.
Maybe it depends on your device, but on my Samsung TV, precise rewinding/fast forwarding is verrrry difficult for Netflix.
Yes, Springsteen is the real villain here, more so than even McCartney with his earnest, dopey Christmas song. At least it is original.
Oh god...this is why I don’t have friends I think. Well, that or my repellent personality.
130 minute runtime...woof. Is there like an extended macguffin chase in the 3rd act or something?
