Oh look at this dumb cuckstick, trying to tell ME what’s benign or inflammatory?

I’m glad for the new music. The whole “retirement” show stunt was kind of dumb though, because it’s obvious that bands always come back for more, no matter how hard they protest that they’re done.

You look alright now. Did you have a pre-Disqus profile btw? I’m still waiting to claim mine :(((

Losing My Edge is still easily #1 for me, with All My Friends coming close.

This one really stunned and excited me. It seems like just yesterday that S3 came out, but I’m definitely ready for more.

Oh dear god I hope so. You can’t imagine how much time I spent on here reading TV club articles from 7 years ago. I sure hope the tv show finder drop down returns too.

It’s almost as if the broken link is a metaphor...we can never go back, can we?

I somehow stuck with my legacy account for years, constantly being logged out and unable to comment. I’ll probably claim it when they give us the option, but maybe it’s better to just be set free?

Was anyone else using an AVC legacy account? I guess we just have to wait for those to get linked at a later date?

Holy shit…I forgot about that series. So much wonderfully shitty nostalgia.

Ooh, let's double down on that and mention the infamous "Ghostbusters wasn't that good" article!

TVDW :(((

I don't even post that often here…but I've been doing it since…well at least 2011, according to my disqus profile, but definitely beyond that with the older system. Definitely tearing up a bit right now. We had a good run, guys.

I honestly think that GRRM would be stalling out right now, regardless of the existence/success of the show. Fantasy epics ALWAYS have a hard time winding down, and he made his job especially hard by taking a character-centric approach to a story about ice zombies and dragons joining in epic battle.

It's kind of sad… I sign up for one month Prime every few months or so, just for the shipping and lately for some of the Twitch promos. Pretty much the only thing I watch on there is Star Trek: TOS, though. They have the original versions and not the shitty CGI remaster that Netflix has.

I found myself really enjoying the more dry, realistic stuff about the chess competition. But then when it started to get actually weird, I kind of checked out.

Man in the High Castle gets better. For me personally, watching both seasons was definitely worth it, but YMMV. It's far from a perfect show.

I think it's a combination of the site's quality decline, and also a dollop of nostalgia. The comments are probably on the whole about as good quality as they used to be (remember the insufferable firsties and canceraids wishing in every article?), but the novelty has faded. Also, as others had said, a lot of the best

"Jason Bateman is a condescending asshole to everyone including his kids."
