i'm still not 100% sold on the new FlyLo album (it's growing on me, but i still wish it was more off-the-wall like cosmogramma)….but it's odd not to see it here, since he's such a critical darling

hah…same thing here. i was loving their new album, and then i started listening more to the lyrics and i realized…hey these guys are singing about being young and wild and passionately enjoying life. and that's not really something i do very much of.

the problem with deerhoof is that they released albums way too quickly, and previous devoted fans (such as myself) got so burnt out on trying to keep up that we don't even bother anymore. i'm just projecting of course…
