This dude is just the greatest. His amazing voice has been with me forever, and it seems like he gets no respect - still does a lot of schlock amidst the good stuff. He should've broken bigger long ago, but at least everyone knows who he is.

That scene with Catherine and Pete in episode 7 is my favorite of hers.

I'd never heard that, but it wouldn't shock me if he cooled on it as the mill story got so in the weeds. I do know there was an unscripted sequence Lynch wanted with Catherine that never got filmed late in S2.

I think it was Bravo first. I'm not aware of it running on Lifetime.

I'm not sure if they were the last or if the Log Lady intros for Bravo came later.

Same episode. Hilarious.

It started when I was a small child, so this is even wilder for me.

Tom Sizemore is absolutely hysterical on this show. He is used as this impotent, mumbling sort of doglike man who is not threatening in any way - utterly removed from Sizemore's usual roles. He is hilarious just to watch skulking in the background of scenes.

My bet is they married young when they planned to - IIRC, Bobby told Shelly he wanted to get married in the Season 2 finale. I assume from there, with his father dying/disappearing almost immediately after the finale, Bobby went straight to the police dept before or after they wed. I'll bet they got pregnant fast, too.

Alright.

Uh… can we roll back to that last part for some background?

It's true

I think it may be on YouTube but I'm a little scared to watch.

I liked it as a kid (and admittedly only watched bc they promoted it as 'the next Twin Peaks' which I still missed, and bc I liked Dana Delaney) but I will readily admit I had absolutely no fucking idea what was going on.

Those shirts were nuts. I'll never forget!

How would anyone be able to tell?

IIRC according to the show she dropped out of HS to marry Leo - sophomore or junior year. She may have been Laura and Donna's year or (I think) one or two ahead.

bold take

I don't disagree. I don't think Ben is being portrayed unsympathetically, or Shelly. But they are both displaying regressive old patterns.

I can't tell if he is or isn't tbh. But it does seem like he wants to wash his hands of the family drama. The key issue here, though, is that he is succumbing to temptation with Beverly, who is married and an employee.
