I’m with you 100% on this. Reading the book is informative. The book is very lurid. Friedkin tones down some of the more lurid aspects in his film. And, for sure, Regan was a child. I don’t buy the anti-feminist accusation.  It gives the book and the movie a little too much credit, in my opinion.  It’s not so deep.
