I was thinking back when it was first announced that we may see another season of Boondocks, “Does Cartoon Network have Regina King money?”. Doubtful. But HBO? Um, yessir. In fact, HBO is double dipping, she’s on the new Watchmen too, which she’ll probably be totally awesome in.

Finally, a 4th season of the boondocks!

While a court may get to determine that, police officers surely don’t

Live in obedient fear, citizen.

How are we supposed to believe in justice when the prosecutor publicly suggests that police shouldn’t be expected to obey the law if they get upset?

I’m shocked they didn’t file charges against the boy for obstructing a police officer responding to an emergency call and try to get his poor mother to pay some fine for the damages.

This is racism, but its also how respectability politics gets passed to us. They start telling us that certain things aren’t acceptable, like our hair or how we speak. They want us to conform to their idea of what an acceptable black person is to them. Then some minorities internalize it and turn it toward each other.

“The superintendent then gave me three options,” Woodley told WKYT. “He told me that I could either cut it, braid it and pin it up or put my grandson in a dress and send him to school.”

Signed and contributed. White people really need to stop policing our bodies.

This makes me so mad. Why are people so worked up over other people’s hair? Unless they’re shedding cooties and lice, the hair of a person other than yourself has zero affect on you and your life.

I watch a lot of Indie/Foreign films and am blown away by their ability to show their culture, their history, spirit, etc. in some spectacular, dramatic works by often, untrained newcomers. This week alone, I saw the Palestinian movies Omar and Ajami which illuminated the Palestinian daily struggles in ways I didn’t

Biden being Barack’s VP was pretty simple; he needed a somewhat affable, old white dude to sway reluctant white Democrats to vote for him. I mean, that was it, more or less.

I said in another article that the easiest retort to this ageism nonsense is by pointing out the fact that Biden’s well-earned reputation for gaffes is what ended all 3 of his presidential runs. He’s never been particularly sharp or ever had any bold policies. The guy is extremely mediocre.

Wait. Warren, who almost single-handedly created the CFPB, who has a detailed plan to attack just about every plan the country is facing, has nothing to recommend her other than being white?

Castro asked Biden if he had forgotten what he said two minutes ago because he had just contradicted himself.  Everyone else drew the conclusion that he forgot because he’s old.  Because it’s god-damned obvious when a dude goes on a rant about record players in 2019 that his old ass is probably forgetting things.

Come on... Somebody at the Root HAS TO discuss that assine answer that Biden gave about his old stance on reparations for slavery. That was some of the worst anti black shit I’ve ever heard on television. He literally said that black people don’t know how to raise their children. Why is everyone so focused on the

But Phillips isn’t the only person writing articles glossing over the fact that Biden is only on stage because a black man picked him to join his crew.

Who pays you to shovel this horse shit, brother?

I knew that the usual suspects in the Times, WaPo etc. would be accusing castro of being a meanie but goddammit they outdid themselves with the shovelful of bullshit they’ve printed. Do they think Trump is going to take it easy on him?

Damn it. Thank you. Castro seemed a little pissed. And he probably IS pissed that he continues to be expected to treat another white guy talking out of his ass with reverence. And if Biden can’t formulate a response to some legitimate criticism, clarify his policy, and stop interrupting everyone, thats on him.
