I enjoyed Hereditary but only because I tend to be forgiving of meandering horror/thrillers as long as the pay-off (ending/explanation) is at least somewhat interesting.

Oh they are definitely hoping this will be settled and not proceed to discovery because I am sure this boys social media has more nails than the defense would ever require.

Except the part where the officer also obtained a warrant by lying about alleged drug activity obtained from a supposed confidential informant.

Crazy. Why does he even have a bag of heroin available.

Yep the police maimed a child in GA for life on a no knock warrant obtained from a lie as well. They fired her (the deputy), but she was acquitted of criminal charges. (as an aside the title of this article is something else)

The story has remained the same, the informants didn’t lie the officer lied. The informant never said anything about purchasing drugs from that home.

Borderline harassment over good books are definitely my ministry, and I have told everyone I know who will listen.

Because black people weren’t “the joke”, and he nailed that shit without coming across like the myriad of other examples of white people miming black people/culture and looking a whole ass solely at the expense of black people for the lol’s e.g:

Just so. The first book was an narrative/editing masterpiece. I figured out what was happening about 30% in but it was still amazing to see it executed so flawlessly. When I read the comments after I finished, some critics were annoyed by the presence of so many concepts that didn’t allow for “escapism”: generational

I bought this book for my sister and not have a chance to read it as yet, however I have her entire Broken Earth Series for which my girl has won 3 Hugos back to back. If you are a fan of fiction, sci-fi, fantasy or just excellent story telling in general, this author is essential reading.

It really is, and I was so surprised that the lead actor was the same one from Mother and that he works so infrequently despite being so versatile.

I sure did, after 3 extreme s and I Saw the Devil I went looking for more of the director’s work. Many of the directors are so talented, I just slowly make my way through their credits. Jee-woon Kim, Chan wook Park, Hong Jin Na, and Ki-duk Kim are my favorites.

Park is a genius and Korean thriller s are just insane on gp. Some of my other favorites: rest of the Vengeance trilogy, Memories of Murder, Mother, Confession s of Murder, Chaser, The Villainess, The Yellow Sea, I Saw the Devil, The Man From Nowhere, Montage, No Mercy.

I loved the visual elements of Get Out, and Us looks like it will also have excellent cinematography. I am more than ready.

The most absurd thing about that case is how they have been left to investigate themselves with no oversite.

Exactly it’s so small it’ll eventually be illegible, which given the current situation is probably for the best.

Dont bother to engage. Whatamithinking is the resident Fed\Russian that crawl s out to mimic what they believe is appropriate jargon so they can spew nonsense like this. They never interact beyond their own post, and they’ll disappear on non political articles.

Even if the argument is the artist considered her as solely Japanese, there are Japanese artist/character designers that have depicted Japanese people with dark skin and bushy hair. Japan has capable Japanese artist that would have done better, they only picked the guy because Osaka is a tennis player and his manga is

Firstly they were never white, they are Japanese and are seen as such by the Japanese. Because of eurocentricity, colonialism, and white supremacy in the West they are “seen” as white because that’s the lens we have been programmed to look through. There actually very few “white” characters. That being said there have
