Well i use lemon\vinegar soak not tap water splashing everywhere. Helps with the odor especially fish. Doesn’t hurt, and what are you cooking all the up at 400 degrees.

Caribbean people dont really “wash” meat though, we soak that joint in acid (vinegar or lime juice with salt). The only thing I kind of rinse off is fish and then I still rub it down with lemon.
