I agree. Plus the “anime”style is more ubiquitous now (Boondocks, Young Justice, Last Airbender) so I doubt any one who doesn’t watch anime would see it as anything more that just a weird cartoon. Technically no since they are the originating style, but the content of the shows themselves are parodies of their respective genres in that they exaggerate existing tropes for satiric/comedic effect (definition of a parody).

The animation looks bootleg, and the voice acting sounds terrible. Anime parodies itself all the time in much better executed shows: One Punch Man, Air Master, Kill la Kill, School Rumble etc etc. I will be skipping this.
