It’s strange I can pick her out in a photo but she is completely unrecognizable\forgettable on film. I remember after watching Foxcatcher I went on IMDb and saw her pic as part of the cast and I was like when and where was she in this movie and I looked at credit and she played the wife.
The only reason I read it because I heard they were making a movie and like to read the book first if possible because if not I end up picturing actors/scenes from the movie while I’m reading which can be distracting.
2009 with Melissa George and Liam Hemsworth:
The visuals do linger on the brain but I loved every creepy second. I like that it started off as a sci-fi space opera and then took a hard left into WTF horror, ghost story, worm hole to hell etc etc.
We sure do. I was going to recommend Hellraiser as well but I figured it might be too much not knowing what the OP likes, I even like the pretty bad ones. I actually saw IV in the movie theater as a young lady, good times...
Wasn’t it great, I’m more of a thriller/psychological horror fan so it was right up my alley. I didn’t see The Strangers as yet, I heard it’s supposed to be a remake of or at least based on Funny Games, so I was trying to work up the nerve to watch that first. I am not a big fan of home invasions movies with extended…
Horrifying bad or Horrifying in a good way? If its good Ill check it out. I started to read the book, but at about 1/3rd in nothing happened as yet and I got bored so I stopped.
In the Mouth of Madness, Event Horizon (Sam Neill double pack :)), The Orphanage, The Cure, The Wailing, Rec, Session 9, Haute Tension, Dark Water (the original Japanese one), Rigor Mortis (Chinese movie. Plots a little all over the place and you need to look up the different kinds of Chinese ghosts to understand it…
Interesting for some some.
Sheila Oliver, who first introduced the bill, states:
A reenactment of this interview, and the subjects process of introspection:
I agree the bottom image with the doll on the left is the only one that doesn’t look like a bobble head.
He really is a true aeteur. His movies are always beautiful to look at, but also have tight scripts with great dialogue and pacing. Plus the actors are always outstanding. I think The Secret in their Eyes is equally perfect.
I love Idris, but the actor that played Weebay is gorgeous
It is. The first episode is excellent, but then it takes a bit for the show to decide where it wants to go so it lulls some in the beginning but the last half of the season is really good. definitely binge worthy
The Triangle is another decent one
No Travelers?
Have you read The Seveneves or Leckie’s Imperial Radch Trilogy
