I like their construction it looks layered in the pic but they would be cool if dress had no slit or if bottom was more full like a ball gown they are messing up the silhouette of the dress.

You’d look awesome. The secret to mixed patterns is that only one color in each garment has to “go together” and voila.

The sad thing is the cut/color arn’t bad. If she tweaked just a few things like different shoes/shirt, pull up the pants a bit, and open the button she could have pulled it off.
