Al, I’m sorry, it sounds like you’re not finding The Everwar and the Fists of Time and the whozit and whatzit to be that appealing, which is CRAZY. It’s the Everwar! As in, there’s never NOT war, and it’s magical. Isn’t that cool?! Isn’t that what you kids WANT?!

I agree. I love it when studios don’t make sequels but instead attempt wholly new ideas/IPs each time.

But if this is what it takes for them to be able to greenlight another Pyre (which I adore, and was also obviously their least successful game), then so be it. I mean - I’m not gonna say no to more Hades, after all.

I snorted when I first heard “BOLLOCKS I just dropped the pupa!”

Wilson is a big dude. Kind of “quietly built.”

That’s how I’m still reading it, and that’s how I’ll ALWAYS read it, damn it.

That’s interesting trivia about one of my favorite games - thank you for that.

For no reason I looked up the guy she married, saw they divorced after two years, and then that he died in 2021. Sad times.

Considering there’s no dedicated cohort of Chinese folk review-bombing this ‘un, this is pretty impressive.

Wow, Gunn, toeing a company line?! Whaaaaat

This is like a bird telling you it can't shit on your car until tomorrow.

It’s absolutely unnecessary and, imo, is probably going to just reduce enjoyment of the original. As a lot of these nostalgia-sequels do three decades later.

Companies see one way, one way to leverage assets - by producing more content around them. I get it. Other ways are harder to get oodles of money off of. But

Yeah, the season was already in a weird spot because it had some dramatic moments (Westhead, Magic stuff, etc.) but also...like, once again, it’s Lakers v Philly in the finals, etc. The whole thing feels like some moderate rug pulls, but of course they can’t rewrite history THAT much.

I live in fear that Weird Al is going to be outed as a kitten-fucker or something equally heinous.

Miss that series

Oh he was definitely intentional.

God those were so fucking good. I relished them.

Was that the creep-looking closeted dude with the blonde wife, who ended up getting turned? It’s been a minute.

This show had fucking Stephen Root in two episodes and I still remember his scenes. Man, HBO can fucking cast the SHIT out of their shows sometimes.

To Get Funyuns! Yum!

He’s the reason I’m not listening to it. That and the whole thing, even for a good cause, seems a little self-fellating.

You’d hope they’d learn from that. Not that I don’t believe at least some of the allegations here, and no system like RS’s investigative journalism will be 100%, but that seriously sucked and made me rethink just taking them at their word.
