I 100% agree and really have no idea why they weren’t nominated. Considering their backgrounds (not just the Native/First Nations thing, but how they got into acting, etc.) they’re punching so insanely above their weight that it seems...well, fucking criminal to not give them a nom. At least give Carol Burnett or one

Only two in the “major categories” and a few in the minor, and it won’t beat some of the really heavy hitters...but at least it got something! We take the w’s.

It’s insane to me that this guy used to host The Man Show. It’s like he looked around at one point and was like “Wait, this ISN’T ironic?!” and then booked it out of the studio.

He maxed out at bronze it looks like? Then I dub this movie “Third is the Nerd: The Marty Supreme Story”

Potentially unpopular take: I’m pretty sick of HarlIvy’s relationship now, and am actively rooting for it to fall apart.

Women deserve love, queer women deserve queer love, good to see representation, and they’re fun together buuuuut...it just feels stale at this point.

Most eps now are them just discovering that

He was better at funny-action than serious-action overall, imo. Or at least stopped getting good, “serious” scripts after a while.

Right, that’s what I’m saying. There is a difference between asexual (ace) and aromantic (aro). One does not necessitate the other.

Asexual != Aromantic though, yeah? But I guess in that particular piece the sex and romance were very much linked.

Unpopular take: I trended away from The Oatmeal after his series of comics detailing just how fucking great his Tesla was. This was even before a lot of the Musk hate - it was more just a very, very dumb series of comics about how much he looked down on other car owners, basically, for not having a Tesla. You know -

It’s the same animation style that DC has used for some stuff and that Marvel has used for What If.

Did he write for the show? That’s a heck of an accusation considering the level of talent involved (and how good the product turned out).

And the one where they end up the most together is the one where they all become “Thing.” Even at a young age I recognized the message there.

No, the fact that it’s good TV makes it good TV.

The industry people who think audiences will still show up for romance, drama, and (most) comedies in movie theaters are insane. Insane. Those are the use-case for home theaters, always have been, always will be. You can’t put that genie back in the bottle.

You CAN lean into what audiences want and make some of this

It came out around the same time as EEAAO, and so got some unfair comparisons in that regard. (I doubt anyone would say EEAAO was the “worse” movie, but just because they deal with multiverse stuff doesn’t mean they’re at all even playing in the same playground and comparisons can basically just...stop there, imo).

I

I remember loving “What If...The Fantastic Four All Got The Same Power?!” because it was four stories in one and they were all super unique. IIRC they all get invisibility and it leads to Sue and Reed divorcing, etc.

I didn’t hate the first season and thought it was fun to have some continuity there, and I thought What If was actually more of an interesting introduction to the multiverse than even Loki, etc.

But then they kept DOING THAT and we just didn’t get the usual comics CRAZY WHAT IF SHIT that I remember from my childhood,

Which is basically a meta-representation of where The Bear is as a restaurant.

Great shout, Living in Oblivion is awesome.

And we don't talk about Puerto Rico anymore
