Eh, I’ve seen most of his movies in theaters, I was just making fun of him. That being said, your field of vision is better at home than in a movie theater depending on screen size, so I think the “visually rich” thing might be a wash.

This is the problem with Disney’s pivot towards “saturate the markets because they can absorb everything” models (in the past, Disney was much more selective about releases, content creation, etc.)

The more we get to see of something, the less special it has a chance to be. If you’re more selective, everything “hits”…

Children’s stuff has always been able to make absurdity into the sublime, and he did it better than anyone. Most of adult animated television these days (or stuff like Tim and Eric) owe him close to everything.

A good arc for Kelvin (and hilarious for the show) would be to transition him to a new “gay outreach” role rather than youth - god, I’m chuckling at the implications of it already.
