I mean this basically in line with the source material, those kids were up to all sorts of shit and then went on to go to “class” (which I say in quotes because I don’t think Hogwarts, like...ever actually TAUGHT anything. That school sucks)

Oh, please, no.

I’m of opposite opinion, I was very happy with this season and thought it was one of its strongest. More self-contained tales, the humor was varied, and it didn’t take itself as seriously. Thumbs up from me. The “meta” episode was one of my favorites yet.

People are also down on the latest season and I thought it was one of the strongest it’s ever been, and I think Harmon and Roiland had less involvement than usual. I remember reading that they’ve given things up to a writing room that’s much younger AND more diverse (especially with female voices), and I think it

The spores were always kinda stupid so the changes they made for the show have worked for me. But YMMV of course.

Thank you for elaborating.

What did you not like about it? Considering it’s pretty much universally beloved, seems like you might need to show your work.

I’m going in a Fuck Paizo shirt. The motto on the back? “We Sold Your Houserules Back to You.”

Children’s song. Spooky sounding. Also my internal head canon is it’s the name of the thing.

It’s a bad film. It’s okay. Indie darlings can be bad. After the second ear-splitting jump scare I realized the director didn’t have full confidence in the movie he was making and we instead got a mish-mash of ideas, all under a film-grain effect that loops every 10 seconds (ON PURPOSE?! MAYYYYYBEEEEE!)

I was honestly

I should’ve SKIPamarink’d but whatever, go get your money ya little indie “horror”.

Oh, no!

Wow, you’re right. They really rushed that first sequel out quick.

Didn’t we JUST have another one of these last year? They’re really cranking them out. I guess they’re not hard to shoot.

Weirdly enough he did great work and didn’t slip in Under the Banner of Heaven. Made me reevaluate him a bit.

Black Company for me. A guy can dream.

Ha, I was one of those teens, steeped in D&D, who had a buddy run us through it and I thought it was soooo cool.

CoA also had a one-shot roleplaying game released around it that was fucking excellent for what it was. Very Sandman-esque in a way.

This is great fucking news. The show isn’t earth-shattering but it’s very good and deserves a home.

It's definitely overrated. Personally, I keep track of how much the show actually makes me laugh in any given episode and it's very low. The writing can be sharp but it also has the "film crew" crutch which really just excuses your writers in using lots of looks at the camera and simple one-liners in their little
