It’s not an “article,” dumbshit, and this is not a newspaper. Good god, where do you morons even come from?
I absolutely thought of Kavanaugh. His voice was breaking, he was railing at the unfairness of being criticised at all. Tragically, this fictional character still came off as less pathetic than the real-life human being who threw a tantrum because people wanted him to answer for an accusation of sexual assault against…
I’m glad Perkins highlighted Brent’s “I accomplished something!” moment, but I think it was important, on both a character and thematic level. I won’t be surprised if we find out that Brent’s book was, literally, the only thing he ever accomplished - that he skated through life on his dad’s name and knew it, even if…
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw him pass out at the game last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
I also thought of Jurassic Park when Nancy was driving everyone away in the station wagon and the Mind Flayer was chasing them, with Steve and Robin in the way back watching it come at them. I really wanted Steve to yell out, “Must.Go.Faster!”
He really has mastered all the qualities that people of good character try hard to avoid. He is a gluttonous, unkind, loud-mouthed, racist, sexist, ethnocentric, anti-intellectual, incurious, dishonest, disloyal, cheating, lazy liar. He is just an absolutely disgusting slob.
I know a little German. He's sitting over there.
Depends. A dramatic upheaval like an impeachment process will drive them into crazy town (further into crazy town at any rate). Probably see an uptick in racially motivated violence. I wouldn’t worry too much about the cult behavior as most of these people don’t have anything like an organized group motivation beyond…
I’m dealing with something I’m sure a lot of other people are: I have a friend who’s a Donald Trump supporter. I knew it back in 2016, but I was surprised when, after years of it not coming up, he reiterated it last week.
It’s just too darn loud.
He probably doesn’t GAF about the elder. The elder is just a tool to stick it to the imaginary SJWs his dad, his favorite chat room and Bill Maher have convinced him are out there trying to emasculate him specifically by asking for him not to be an asshole.
“The Matchmaker.” I could watch that one on repeat, it’s so good.
I hope when the bullet stuck him in the chest, his last words where: “I’ve made a huge mistake.” Some ragtime version of “Sound of Silence” plays in the background.
Some of these songs are making me feel old. Anyway how has no one mentioned the chase songs from Scooby Doo?
There was a lot about this episode that was dumb (e.g., the Emperor acting stupidly just because, Lorca wanting to get in Burnham’s pants override common sense, etc.) and happened for action demands instead of smart plot (i.e., any excuses to see Michelle Yeoh kicking ass), but I still really enjoyed it.
Come now, Mickey Rooney starred in over a hundred Andy Hardy movies and each one was funnier than the last.
I get why people are frustrated with the show, and your review touches on some of what I consider to be the strengths and weaknesses here, but when a reviewer comes right out and says they cannot review a show on its own merits, I am forced to wonder if they’re the right person for the task.
I have a lot of respect for…
I personally had a totally opposite experience with this episode and feel it’s one of the best of Trek ever. Out of any series.
