That film legitimately creeped me out to almost the point of terror. I was like “grandmother, what has thy wrought upon me! I am but 11!”*.
However it also fascinated me and it might have laid the first seeds of my love for horror.

*That’s how we spoke in in the previous century

I’ll be upset if Angelica Huston isnt involved. Actually, I’ll be upset if Henson aren’t involved. Also, The Headland Hotel, Newquay (recently refurbished). So I realise that I have no real interest in this adaptation, as much as I love Death Becomes Her.

That’s totally an Ash move. A+ gif usage.

I appreciate the dissonance of politely calling him ‘Mr. President’ before lobbing a glorious f-bomb at him.

Won’t vote for gay marriage cause it breaks down the social structure of ‘family’ but has no problem ripping away infants and toddlers.

She honestly went to a Mexican restaurant? That’s...a choice.

“The children can be taken care of quickly, beautifully and immediately.”

I’m completely hijacking this comment section because I don’t know if this’ll get covered by Jezebel since it’s a Canadian issue, and I thought this might be uplifting because not every Supreme Court is fucking up on LGBT issues: The Canadian Supreme Court just sided against Trinity Western University in a big

How do we know when it’s time to rise up? We are definitely in boiling frog territory here. We have concentration camps, the rule of law is right on the cusp of being completely thrown out the door, MAGA chuds are heavily armed and eager to own the libs (i.e., line us up against walls and shoot us). Can anyone really

Your post is a great explanation of how I felt about this movie. I felt like it was a family drama with a supernatural thread in it ... as the thread was pulled the family’s life fell apart. The emotional portrayals felt absolutely true (although the son would have played better as a college student) and Toni Collette

Ooooo, looks creepy, but good! I always find Domhnall Gleeson’s performances riveting.

I identify with your comments the most out of all of those I am reading. I think I saw a trailer months ago, logged “horror film with Toni Colette” in my mind, and then realized it was out this week and caught a Tuesday matinee. I brought a friend with me and throughout the film we each said to the other “did you know

Lukewarm take (from someone who only watched like two seasons of Felicity because it was on in English while she lived overseas): Ben and Noel both sucked, but for kind of opposite reasons. Ben was dangerous and sexy, but an asshole. Noel wasn’t an asshole, but man he was boring and entitled.

But should can a show, that was destroyed by a change in hairstyle by its lead, really be taken seriously?

Not gonna lie, I’m legit stoked for the RE2 remaster. The RE1 remaster was pretty great and it’s been about 20 years at this point since I played RE2. They’re actually really good games, and with some gameplay improvements and fresh graphics they’re even better.

I will admit Resident Evil 2 had me completely surprised. Well played, Sony, I actually squealed!

This movie was dark. I didn’t read much about the movie before watching it and I was surprised at how emotionally heavy it was as a scary movie. There was so much grief. I’ve been thinking a lot about the movie since I watched it and I think a second viewing is necessary to pick up on all the subtle clues about what
