I usually attach the email and write “see below”

Oh my god. Her response really is absolutely perfect.

Here’s looking at you NPH

Shawkat raised a good point in this interview, which is that afterwards, she received a lot of flack for not speaking up even more.

Since folks may not click through links... some context.

The whole context about that war and how it colors relationship between Japan and China makes this really problematic.

I think about this everyday. On the outside I am a fairly successful attorney/writer working in nonprofit in DC. I volunteer, I went to law school as a second career late in life. I travel extensively and I’m a photographer who takes pretty good wildlife shots.

Saffo said she and Andy Spade tried to help Kate check into treatment centers, but that she never went because “the ‘image’ of her brand (happy-go-lucky Kate Spade) was more important for her to keep up. She was definitely worried about what people would say if they found out.”

The idea that the recall will undermine judicial independence completely disregards the fact that recalls are part of the judicial system. Anyone making that argument is trying to bullshit you.

Yeah, that’s basically my complaints with it. Why waste the obvious chemistry the cast has by splitting them into three separate movies this time? I really felt Finn and Rose got sidelined by a really unimportant plot device. And I don’t find Kylo Ren nearly as compelling as I’m expected to find him. I thought the

I am one of those with a fierce dislike of TLJ, while not to the point of screaming “you ruined my childhood” but enough that it was a poorly crafted and executed movie, and came off more as a petty fight between directors. It has nothing to do with the female characters (Rey is a huge Mary Sue btw) as Star Wars has

They flipped the script on its head and then flipped it back. It also didn’t make sense to make Poe such an unlikable character after he was the hero of Starkiller base and literally almost saves the fleet by himself. It’s a wonky rationale.

Man, I HATED The Last Jedi and I hate that I hated it because of how terrible the other people that hated it are. (Also because I wanted it to be good.) Honestly I wish I had seen the movie the shrieking neckbeards are complaining about because that movie sounds awesome.

I didn’t like TLJ because of the direction and editing. There were too many ridiculous and unnecessary gimmicks. 1. Being so angry about a shitty movie that you have to harass someone is childish and an entitlement issue, 2. Taking your out on the WOC is racist, sexist bullshit. If you hate the movie and have to pin

I’m a 40 something Star Wars superfan who didn’t like TLJ. Know what I did? Nothing much. I talked with my friends about why I didn’t like it, then I went on with my life like an adult. These people need to grow up and learn what’s really important in life. And what’s important is not trying to ruin the life of an

I hate the fact that I wish TLJ had been better because now I’m stuck on the same side as a bunch of stark raving misogynists.

I don’t blame actors for badly written characters. Our culture is starting to blur our fictions and our realities, we imagine the actors are actually the people on screen because we want to believe these fictions are real.

They shouldn’t be harassing her. I do wish that storyline had been written better though—they made her character a touch annoying.

Star Wars needs better fans and WoC need better support.

As a WoC and massive Star Wars fan the fact that people were messing with Kelly Tran fucks me up. Star Wars needs better fans and WoC need better support.
