Though there may be greater disparities for lower income women, resources like money do not provide immunity from disparate treatment. Serena Williams was close to death from blood clots after having her baby because the docs refused to listen to her. So, yeah, money may not save a Black or other woman of color.

May it be contagious.

Uses his privilege as a mouthpiece. Well done sir!

Damn, she made them jump through all those hoops to try to walk-back some racist big dollar donor’s bullshit and grant her a tenured position, with all the ensuing negative press that UNC rightfully got for their bullshit, and then said “nah, I’m over here now.”

This. I thought that was a boss move.

I love the way this ended. UNC was like “actually we definitely should get her and give her tenure, she’s worth it.” And then Hannah-Jones went “Yeah, bitches, I am, and you aren’t. See ya!”
Well done Howard.

It lost control of plotlines and continuity in a hurry. Where it began with Courtney Vance’s publication and research for the life-saving Green Book being a major supporting element of the story, it ended up with Black characters seemingly traversing half of the the very same dangerous and racist continent in barely a

How about the Two-Spirit character? Look everyone, an inclusive gender-neutral concept from Native American culture that shows it IS possible for someone to be intersex and have a unique social role... and they’re dead.

I admit the show lost a lot of good will with me due to how it handled LGBTQ (OK mostly G and a little bit of L and T) issues. You could see they were at least trying but it was one of those examples where I had to wonder if they had a gay man in the writer’s room.  Yeah it’s horror, but making your main gay character

It’s funny, because I would agree the the series had probably only a couple really great episodes, but I would point to completely different episodes. The first episode, for instance, struck me as a pretty awkward mix of real-life racial drama and fantasy adventure; as metaphors go, “The monsters represent sundown

Yes also enjoyed those moments.

I liked the one where Dee was followed by the creepy girls too (or at least I was most tickled by the uncanny horror of it) and the one focusing on Ruby’s adventures as a white woman was kinda fun too. I also enjoyed how out there Hippolyta’s episode was. The series was uneven overall but I appreciated the big swings

The show had two really great episodes. The first and the attack on Black Wall Street in Tulsa.

Chris Evans: You are under no obligation to respond to an unsolicited DM.

You’d think even large companies would be pressuring Trump and McConnell for a comprehensive stimulus plan at this point.

My family went to Disney World every few years in the summer. But we live in Louisiana, so it was a lateral move. Hot and humid at Disney World > hot and humid in the backyard picking fights with the sprinklers to amuse myself.

Yeah. Sexually exclusive and using hormonal birth control, if applicable.

Wow this is the exact same plot of Dead set. Written by the creator of Black Mirror.

Sounds like the premise of the movie Dead Set.
