Who was driving it isn't germane to his defense whatsoever. It's clear that he wasn't driving it and should be freed immediately.
Very true, except it's the DA, not the police, who has the burden of proof.
You don't have to finger the allegedly guilty party in order to create reasonable doubt. This is an important tenet of our judicial system.
He's not required to say who was driving the vehicle. All he needs to prove is that it wasn't him driving the vehicle. People need to learn that laws and justice do not follow the "justice is fair" belief that many people have.
I think its murder because if he were the driver his reckless actions are what lead to the death of someone else. He knew what he was doing was illegal but did it anyway (if he was the driver).
You can be charged with murder in the second degree if you acted with "depraved indifference."
The police have to prove that he was driving beyond reasonable doubt. If he and his lawyer can provide reasonable doubt the police have to find away to prove it wrong. He doesn't need to say anything about who was driving his car to push this burden on to the police.
It's the new world! Disruption! Shareholders! Task based work forces! Yay! We're all enlightened..
Indian politicians like parliamentary affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu think the documentary is an "international conspiracy to defame India"
A girl on my FB tried to pull something like this, claiming she didn't know how to shovel snow. The response was very different, a resounding 'WELP YOU'RE GONNA LEARN TODAY AREN'T YOU'. Newsflash, fellow wemminz: being pretty and thoughtful with scones won't help you get into shape for the apocalypse. Apoco-tips for…
Oh hey, world's largest democracy: YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.
I am watching it right now and they are not reducing rape to a generic Indian mindset. They do talk a lot about the culture but they show many men and women fighting back, not once do they say anything that generalizes Indian men. They also do touch on class oppression, seeing as this is first screening and it is just…
Do they really think that banning the film will do anything BUT reinforce these actions, and the global belief that the country is stuck in a backwards age?
It is now just being shown on tv here in UK and some of the stuff that is being said is vile, this film should never be banned and i proud that BBC has done this documentary.
Indian Parliament has banned India’s Daughter, a new documentary about the brutal beating, gang rape and death of…
Fingers crossed …
This could easily swing from RomCom to Horror film.
Ugh, this post is total clickbait. You're trolling the MRAs aren't you?
Maybe he finally met his kids' mother.
