    If you want a home assistant of some sort but are also getting a speaker (e.g. sonos play 1), you could get an amazon echo dot brand spanking new for $50. The speaker is inadequate for listening to music, but it picks up my voice from a surprising distance and does all of the “lights on” and “what’s the traffic like”…
