That might be where my suburban town draws the line!

Yeah. I let it get just a bit too long for the first time last week, and I did get a lot of rolling. Had to do a lot more clean-up afterwards with the weed wacker (electric of course :p ). I won’t mind using it a bit more often though in exchange for not dealing with the racket and finishing the job smelling of fumes!

I’ve found it only struggles on pretty sizeable sticks, but I’m also less than one year into it and truly do have a small lot! We’ll see how I feel after we have some storms that leave more debris.

Unless you’re like me, with my hippy-dippy reel mower! I strongly recommend one for people with small lots- it’s quiet, essentially no maintenance, easier to use, no gas to worry about, and not too much work for a small area. I love it!

“... I can always wear dressy cargo pants...”

Do you think the result would have been different if you put a 500 lb weight in the trunk of the ‘98?

It’s difficult to prioritize it when you literally can’t afford it.

From wikipedia:

Which, if you’re elderly and retired, sounds like a terrible idea.

Well, the friggen wheel gets in my way for the speedo and/or tach in most cars (but fortunately not in mine), so for me this would be an upgrade compared to many others.

I did the math on paying off loans based on balance vs. interest. For my loans (which all do indeed have similar interest rates), the difference over the course of a few years was literally a few bucks, under $10. In my case, that’s well worth the psychological benefit.

“For example, he’s not into cutting back on lattes. Instead of being frugal and saving $3 at a time, he argues, you should focus on saving money where it matters...”

I suppose it depends on how important your business is to the supplier. I imagined that tesla could be a “big fish” to some suppliers, but in dealing with existing automotive suppliers they may be just the opposite.

12 week tooling for them? I work in much much smaller volumes (i.e. 10,000x less interesting to suppliers) and have lead times comparable to that. Of course, our tools are usually smaller than theirs. Are you in an industrial field? What sort of volumes?

To you as well. I apologize for assuming. (You know what they say. Er. I assume.)

I agree with your original statement that lawmakers did not write this regulation. I’m highlighting the fact that it was written by regulators who were charged with creating such regulations by our lawmakers.

Which was created by an act of congress.

Every single one of those nukes is an increased chance for an accident, or even an accidental war.

Do you use it for listening to music? It’s plenty loud for its small size, but music on it sounds terrible. And I am definitely not an audiophile.

Not bullshit, just a little too “ideal world.” A given engine speed corresponds to a given road speed for a given gear. So if you’re traveling along a flatish road without dramatically changing wind conditions, keeping your car on cruise control will indeed result in a nearly constant engine speed. There are some
