I saw a lot of good shows this year: Sleep with Subrosa, Frank Turner playing Love Ire & Song in its entirety, Depeche Mode, New Order (both DM and NO were the second time in two years), the Melvins with their double bass attack, Hobo Johnson’s raggedy set at Riot Fest...

They do it to other white people as well! Usually when we’re younger than them. I, a white man, have had it happen to me multiple times.

Not sure if he requested it, but he plays drums on the last (hidden) track on the album, a cover of “Sloop John B”. Also, his uncle sings the French version of “Seasons in the Sun” with the band.

The recent Domino’s ads have a line about banana peppers and BBQ pizza being weird. I was like, “Add some ham and/or chicken and that’s what I order all the time!”

Reading about the spiciness of the taco pizza reminded me of the Cajun Firebomb pizza from Falbo’s South Park Street location in Madison, WI. The deep dish version was delicious, but intense (so much Red Hot and so many jalapenos).

Came here for this. Was not disappointed.

They only do punk covers of non-punk songs and each album usually has a theme (the last one was “diva”). As you might guess, they are one of the goofiest bands in the world and are also one of the best live experiences you can have.

I always love it when people throw Ohio in the mix for these “worst state” lists when Indiana IS RIGHT THERE. It’s easily the worst of all the Midwest states and it’s not even close.

I think that there needs to be a hybrid approach to how we do things. Restricted capitalism is good-to-great for optional things, but there needs to be some publicly-provided base-form of the necessities.

It’s almost as if Bibi cares less about his Jewish heritage than maintaining his power, but that couldn’t be right, could it?
