I’m 5' 1", FUCK STOOLS
That too! I got to go through that when I found out he was fucking a ton of other people and he told me I was a manipulative abuser like his mother was for being angry at him, and all I wanted to do was get in the way of his happiness.... FUCKING INSANE.
I was hospitalized with acute pancreatitis at age 25 and it took me 3 weeks to recover. I didn’t get sober until age 27. I recognize that I was fortunate and I have so much compassion and sadness for those that lose loved ones to alcoholism/addiction.
gaslighting can make someone doubt their own sanity (been there!)
Not that I’ve fallen prey to a cult, but in any manipulative situation- socially, work stuff, relationships - if you have a doubt in your head you say whats going on in the situation out loud. It helps you realize/clarify if something is ridiculous or stupid and can help others realize it too.
I can tell you this happens with grooming, trust-building, and time... Not the same exactly, but my ex husband very slowly groomed and manipulated me into some really dark shit that I can see now that I didn’t want any part of (Related to the sub/dom type shit). Our relationship started out completely normal and…
I strongly fucking agree, thank you.
FINALLY, someone has said it! Stools are trash—no back support, not quite large enough to sit on without spillage, and there is rarely a place for me to rest my feet comfortably. It’s an extra pain at bars, because there isn’t anywhere for me to hang my coat. They are a sleek, stylish con.
Yeah holy cow I treat pancreatitis every week, most people are much older. I had a few in their thirties and it’s just bad news to have it that young it never ends well.
So has the word “Empowerment” lost all meaning yet?
There is a luck element to it. I’ve seen people with decades of alcohol dependency under their belt who somehow aren’t cirrhotic yet. On the other hand, a single really heavy drinking binge can kill you if you’re unlucky.
I’m guessing the whole thing is a little too idiotic to raise anyone’s hackles.
From what I’ve seen people put themselves through with drugs and alcohol and still have clear blood work, I can’t imagine what it took to have pancreatitis from alcohol at such a young age. I know genetics plays a bit into it, but it takes years of Leaving Las Vegas style chronic drinking to get to that stage.
I’ve treated people in their early 30s with acute alcoholic hepatitis, it’s heartbreaking. If your alcoholism kicks in young it’s just disastrous. Or you can have an alcohol induced seizure or a withdrawal seizure...
Avicii released Wake Me Up when he was only 23? I’m a casual fan; I didn’t realize how young he was.
Yeah, at that age, I’m thinking (god forbid) suicide, but pancreatitis (in your 20s??) and alcoholism is no joke.
From booze too.
I mean holy heck, that is some severe abuse to do to yourself.
All his dreams came true and it wasn’t enough for him.
RIP
Holy shit. So young.
Mission Accomplished...so we’re going to be in Syria for the next 20 years. :(
