the degree is precisely what matters . Exposing children to infectious diseases in Nazi camps is also of the same substance, and only differs in degrees.

but kissing a chicken in your backyard is not exactly a lab. There are too many ‘unknown unknowns’ , so to do that as a parent is pretty stupid.

yes, but salmonella can potentially kill a child, especially if it’s left untreated and thought of as a common bug or a stomach flu. The infection can spread to other organs of the body, while for the inability to keep any liquids in, severe dehydration is also very dangerous.

salmonella can be fatal for children though. Not sure if that’s really any way to build child’s immune system...

I once caught salmonella and my GP incorrectly diagnosed it as stomach flu. I had terrible cramps and was utterly dehydrated to the point where you could just stretch the skin on my arms several centimetres, as if I was a rabbit.

that’s great! thanks for the link, will be checking that out.

Wolf Hall was amazing. I will not be watching this thing despite Rufus Sewell being in it, but it shocks me that he can actually publish this misogynist sentiment without anyone calling him out on it.

he’s pathetic.

just a week ago, leader of Slovak parliament expressed his terror at Slovak politics becoming ‘feminised’. I thought that this kind of sexist expression is unimaginable outside of the former Soviet bloc. Obviously I was wrong.

I saw him speak a few times on BBC, he’s a staunchly anti-feminist silly little fool.

‘I blame feminisation of our culture.’ Girls watch soap operas and boys watch Trainspotting.

yet, it’s still more watchable than the Game of Thrones with its silly allusions of ‘noble people of the North’ and ‘savage people of the South’ and its terrible kitchy costumes.

I’ve seen a first season, and while it wasn’t the best TV show I’ve ever seen, it certainly had interesting moments and well written characters. That for me will always be more attractive than silly explosions and superheroes in a 3D cinema (unless the superhero is Charlize Theron of course).

I don’t know why are you people surprised. TV series are expensive, especially if some actors are being paid a lot. The Big Bang Theory star, the one who plays Penny, reportedly get $1 million per episode. Now how many episodes does that have?

so? 75% of the films you mention are total crap. Just because something is 3D, doesn’t automatically make it watchable.

I have to brag, I shook his hand once, and told him how much I admire his work. He was very polite with a rather shy smile on his face :)

you have a definition of an A-list actor/actress which has nothing to do with talent. I think that talent should be the main criteria. Based on your definition Naomi Campbell is better A-list actress than Vanessa Redgrave or Meryl Streep. That doesn’t make sense to me.

Agree, but Gosling is actually quite good. I was never a huge fan but I’ve seen him in The Believer and he was very good in that one. Otherwise I agree with your list totally.

I don’t know. Of all those mentioned I’d probably agree only on DiCaprio. I never really liked him but yeah, haven’t seen a film in which he wouldn’t be at least very good.

it’s not weird to have that on your phone. However, it would be weird to share that with 700, and probably many more strangers.
