Restomods can be subtle, but they can be loud and in your face too. Restomod is a huge category. It’s literally just defined by restored and modified. Some concentrate more on restoration, and thus are more original, some concentrate more on modification.

Wow, I totally forgot about Lister’s XJS but this new car is essentially that old car but with new LED lighting.  It’s not a bad look but it certainly is not original.

I was thinking the same thing.  I actually love the look of the 80's DBS, V8 Vantage, and even the V8 Vantage and Virage from the 90's even more so than the DBX cars that came before and after.  They look like muscle cars that are driven by gentlemen instead of 20 and 30 year old greasers.

Obviously they are doing it to own the libs. As a self-proclaimed lib, I do feel thoroughly owned whenever I see a lifted Ram rolling coal and trying really hard to make it home without getting his third DUI that year.

Forward visibility, already compromised on modern trucks, is reduced further. A similar characteristic is seen on tail-dragging aircraft where the pilot either leans their head out the sides to see ahead of them or they zig-zag to provide that view.

Properly lifted vehicles still have the driver’s eyes in line with the horizon and looking ahead on the road. Yes higher but still horizontal. This stupid crap has the driver looking at the sky not the road and who know how bad it messes up driving dynamics like steering and braking. My 2 in lifted wrangler actually…

Honestly if it’s both squatted and rolling coal, they should keep the driver in it when they crush the truck. That person has such disregard for the well-being of everyone around them that they are a burden to society and have done enough damage as it is.

Even if I don’t care how dumb it looks, this stood out: “...making them a danger to anyone outside the truck, including pedestrians...”
