Teach kids the “okay” hand signal. If an adult points at them, they have to respond by making a fist and tapping themselves on the top of the head with it (“okay”). Anything else - or ignoring adults! - we have to come get you.

I’m sober now, but I’ve only ever sent back two drinks that I can recall - a Manhattan that was pink with maraschino juice and a gimlet with simple syrup in it. Neither drink is meant to be sweetened. If you don’t like something without a ton of sugar in it, you don’t like it.
It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than a trip to urgent care for stitches! Poor Helen! :(
+100 - Anything that lures little kids toward science in an adorable way.
The rape of Jamie seems egregious in the moment because Jack Randall is such an empty evil pit. But it does “pay off” (in terms of story impact) later, after Brianna is viciously attacked. Their common experiences create an incredible moment of connection between a father and a daughter who had only just met. It was a…
Or they started MAKING PHONES again, not small tablets.
That’s *exactly* what happens.
“Abused and neglected individuals reported a higher number of traumas and victimization experiences than controls and all types of childhood victimization (physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect) were associated with increased risk for lifetime revictimization. Significant group (abuse/neglect versus control) by…
It’s call re-victimization. Once a person’s self-esteem has been lowered by an initial mistreatment, that person becomes easier and easier to victimize by subsequent attacks. Malevolent people do attempt to victimize well-adjusted women with large social circles.

My favorite so far was “The Von Trapp children, if they were adults and sided with Hitler.”
I saw a trailer for this in front of All Creatures Here Below and was immediately intrigued. I hope it becomes available to see where I live. (I drove abt 100 mi to see All Creatures and We Have Always Lived in the Castle at the Monica Film Center!)
Then spend a couple hundred bucks on some cameras! You’re not even posting them where normal commuters would be. Why is this difficult?
Well, if you’re the type of person who thinks “She’s saving all these lives in the 18th century! How is the future timeline unaffected?!” ...this is not the show for you. It’s definitely Fantasy Romance (as opposed to Science Fiction).
Actually, the first season has Claire bouncing around Scotland at a good clip and the second moves the whole story to France. (That’s where I’m at in my watch right now)
I skipped the last season - it gets so much play on my Twitter feed I still know everything - and started watching Outlander. I REGRET NOTHING.
...and maybe provide a BASIC level quality control among their workforce in the form of background checks (to prevent all the sexual assaults).
Oh, it’s so much worse than that. The justification from the press and the royal nerds for demanding pictures of Archie is that the royals are financially maintained by public money so that makes them public property. That concept is disgusting in every conceivable way. I pay taxes that fund public schools (as an…
I always manage to make more than we can actually eat. They freeze really well, tho and reheat okay in the toaster (if they fit).
