i get where your head is at, but i just feel like $20k would be still a tall risk...

Whatever my time estimate is.... double it.... and then double it again....

I 2nd this... my best work is done between “dinner will be ready in 30.” and “i’m going to bed, you’re an asshole.”

the way they say they need to build those LFP batteries in the USA to hit hte $25k makes me think the $25k is actually $32,500 before the $7500 rebate. and they’ll likely launch with a higher end one at probably $40k is my guess.

We got a BZ4x it was the cheapest option by like $5k.

The price.

To be honest, most bikes under $400 new are unsafe to ride. The functional equivalent of a $18,000 car would be like a $600 bicycle. That’ll get you A to B. If you wanna do something with off road capabilities, much like a car, you’ll probably spend double that for absolute most barebones starters. $1200 to

I used to take the bus home (i lived 5 miles away and my parents would drop me off in the AM)... and as an asthmatic these things were horrible to sit in.... one school year, the bus system fucked up and dint have my name on the roster to get home. so while they sorted that out, my parents dropped me off the next day

honda can sell north of 30k civics in a single month....

If it’s a form factor thing it may be worth considering a bolt ev instead. You can get one with a new battery from the recall and half the miles for less. If you stack all the rebates on top of that, they’re an absolute steal right now. It can charge back around 80 miles overnight on a 120v 12A L1 charger no issue,

honestly, this would be a primary car.... the car that goes to work and back.... picks up the kids... goes to the store.... runs the errands.... the car that does it all for 1/3rd the cost of a gas car, without ever having to stop for gas or go out of the way to charge..

i picked up a bolt in January, because i have a stupid 105 mile round trip commute till the end of the year and the volvo was eating me alive in gas.

i for one love going to the grocery store because it’s isles and isles and isles of food.... and i fuckin love food.... my wife hates having to get groceries, so it often ends up being me that goes.

My guess with the killing/reviving the bolt had to do with the battery recall and production capacity.

In a few years? The used bolt market is pretty great with all the rebates right now.

drop the ride height 2" and call the maverick the ranchero.

I have a 92 Chevy K1500, unmolested and in excellent condition, with 100k miles... and it’s absurd how many times the thing has been broken into.... they usually fuck with the door latch, then smash the window, then they try to cram a screwdriver into the ignition...

I let my friends drive it.

Last month toyota dumped a bunch of their leftover BZ4X on lease for $0 down and about $200/month. they also came with 1 year of free charging too.... if i recall, hyundai did the ioniq 6 at $250/m as well.

Agree with the last statement. It’s cool to love what you do for work… but don’t ever fall in love with your job. there’s a fine line between the two.
