yeah.... ive never been one to care much for a toyota, but damn.. the crown is a sharp looking car. my grandfather had a 7th and a 9th gen when i was growing up.

you can make it across the country, mainly because the country is pretty small. they’re still pretty few and far in between. the closest one from where i grew up is still about 20 minutes away. otherwise theres another one like an hour in the opposite direction.

probably the classic, “brakes failed” even though the pedal was all the way to the floor, because the throttle was stuck open due to a shoe being mashed down on top of the gas pedal.

yup and so do we.

it really comes down to the specific job description.... but mainly it’s and executive that is “busy” therefore needs someone to do all the non-decision making components of their day to day.... (go get coffee, lunch, remind of schedule, block calendar).... but depending on how much they trust their EA’s, execs can

The average round trip commute in the US is something like 35 miles. So that’s probably around 1/2 the population at a minimum.

haha yeah. i have a hard stop at 1998 for my cars unless i need donor parts like a short block then i can go to 04. (the wife gets the newer cars.).

on the flip side, you actually got robbed at the pump... even if we were buying all our electricity, once factor in fuel costs, we saved almost $1000/year.

we have the first gen. its actually been really great. they claim 170 miles range but we get roughly 190 miles/charge we’ve done a couple long trips on it and charged along the way, the charging rate isnt the fastest even on a DC charger, but the range comes right back, because it’s really efficient (super low drag).

this mentality is toxic.

Ive ridden this a handful of times... rarely came across a logging truck... but 128 to the coast on the other hand, that is scary. no shoulder, and the last 10 miles or so, those trucks are flying.

all car prices are insane.

“You should get an Audi S6 too (for reasons) The audi chain tensioners usually all fail by 120k. So if they haven’t failed by then they should be good.” — my buddy With an S6 who bought one at 135k miles

Or “insurance is garbage, get the cheapest insurance you can find.”…. It’s always garbage if you pay for garbage. I carry good coverage for myself and it’s paid for itself a hundred times over.

from both sides... GM planning on building a buncha crazy inefficient EV’s that most of us cant afford while trying to kill off the bolt is blatant idiocy....

I love how the delivery guy just looked at her and made the split second decision that he just aint being paid enough to deal it and backed off.

yeah... as much as i love ev’s... we just arent ready for full electric trucks just yet.... i personally believe that smaller cars should for the most part just all be BEV... but trucks are where PHEV makes a whole lotta sense for probably the next 10~15 years.

an efficient truck would be nice... (ute anybody!? i personally like having a cabin separated from what im hauling) but that just aint happening...

ioniq 6 is a great buy too, especially because hyundai is offering promos on them right now... you can get something like $5000 off, if you have a huyndai currently, theyll give another $2500 off, plus alot of dealers are offering another $1000~$2000 off.... and you can get the $7500 federal tax credit on top of all
