No. I’ve gone 6 months to a year between fill ups on a car before and they run just fine. If it optimal? No… but will it work fine? Absolutely. When gas. Gets to be 20 years old tho idk.

yeah, im just scratching my head on it, some are already equipped with backup sounds... also idk if the how many differnt notes/pitches/sounds durations that horns can put out, but there is a speaker wired in there already. cars new enough to have OTA may have a speaker wired in to the rest of the car... again... im…
sure, but im sure theres a lot of models from the last 10 years or so that are...
Especially if they can do it with just an update. If OTA is on the table for some models it’s definitely a no brainer.
I know your joking about the insurance here, but seriously depending on what state you live in i highly recommend carrying maximum coverage on your own auto policy for uninsured/underinsured personal injury. Each state is different but In California an un/underinsured auto coverage will cover “any collision involving…
we went back and forth on wheels for our lemons car for a while... to your point the main thing holding us back was the shopping part.... we finally found a set of 4 corvettte C4 sawblade wheels for $125 total. those are 17x9.5 at just under 21lbs each... people seem to not like how they look but from a performance…
id be surprised if they dont put a stopper in there like “stop backfeeding the house below 30%” or whatever you set it to.... the thing is that the rivian has a 135~180kwh battery.
you can buy a 4kw solar array with a 20kwh battery off amazon for like $10k if you wanna install it yourself. it’s a china item tho, so idk how accurate those numbers are... realistically it’ll probably be closer to 3kw and 15kwh when you actually use it....
.
You’re dead on about electric cars being “inevitable” we got a 1st Gen ioniq ev. It’s a fuckin fantastic car. It’s ridiculously cheap to own and operate. For a commuter it’s the perfect car. Set and forget.
I’m kinda with you. My Volvo has drum brakes at all 4 corners, with no power braking… the only reason It’s ok is because it’s 2000 lbs and double digit horsepower it’s slow as shit, but yeah you definitely have to pay a little more attention.
Volvo 444.
Large vehicles... especially those which can roll coal.
tbh, when we got our hyundai, the bar for our expectation was EXTREMELY low, so when they not only surpassed our expectations, but we realized they actually build an impressive product, especially for the price... yeah, we’re gonna be impressed.
Personally I wouldn’t mind if each unit within the car was easy to remove and repair on a desk, and drop back in. Though to your point I have a feeling this isn’t the model Tesla is going for.
they dont make a more expensive porsche branded one?
or it can be for those people who can barely afford the monthly on the car and cant afford a place to live. /s
This is largely because they have to actually develop an internal combustion engine working with all sorts of factors like fluid flow thru piping, blocks, manifolds, heads, radiators, cylinders, forced induction, climate variation, etc, VS just sourcing an electric motor/battery. Electric input/output in comparison is …
Damn. I spent way too many hours as a kid in that fuckin jump seat. Didn’t help that my father was 6’4” too for when all 4 of us had to hop in the truck.
Oh damn. I know what you’re talking about but I can’t recall which truck came with it as an option.
