ha! yeah there’s no part of me that’s like “Im gonna look for a chrysler town and country today!” but $1400 for under 90k miles, that’s amazing... you can bet your boots id have driven the shit outa that thing too... this is the jalop way.

Amazon. This one was like $13.50

I have a little digital tac that’s kinda handy.... it runs on a coin battery, and theres a wire that you wrap around one of the spark plug wires... I stuck magnets to the back of the tac, and when i dont wanna see it, i just tuck it back under the dash (my dash is steel)

it’s wild to think about the gas prices what what it did to car prices back then.... I bought a 92 K1500 with 80k miles for $2500 around 2012 or so. I was a little worried but my father was like “you hardly drive... the lower cost of insurance alone will make up the difference in gas. no need to saddle yourself with

as a cyclist, I am not looking forward to this future littered with massive machines.

to be fair.... if im leasing a car, i see it as their car anyways.... if they’re offering for me to pay less so they can do OTA updates with their car i could care less. sign me up.

we walked in looking at a specific EV. the guy was very upfront with us... “I dont really know much about the EV’s, but we also have the same model on closeout (2020 vs 2021) so you may want to try that one too... let me go get the keys.” did a bit of paperwork, but he didnt come with us on the test drive. didnt push

the objective that GM is pushing is adding chargers. it’s gonna cost them regardless... im just saying if they’re going to add chargers, theres ways to get creative about it and do more than just putting another charger on the lot....

That’s why I said “ad time” not revenue.

yeah it could be a win-win if GM had the dealers install branded chargers at the parks/shopping areas.... they could get ad time for new models and promotions all over town, without having to have the person come all the way down to the dealer... and the public gets a place to charge.

1st gear.

I had a 2012 focus hatchback in manual... I only had like 20k miles on it, but that throwout bearing sounded like a can of rocks rattling around in there.

motor swap across different years, different ECU, made a fresh wiring harness, new vac routing, cutting, drilling, hacking..... making shit work.....

id be surprised if they didnt have room for a 50 mile battery in this thing, but they only put 40 miles in today due to supply constraints.

your VIN is publicly accessible on your dash there too.

Ok, yeah. sure...

that thing sounds fun AF... $25k? NOPE.

yeah the prices on those things are insane, I could buy and restore just about any other car for what it would cost to buy a beat to shit Taco or 4R. people always argue how a beat to shit toyota will still last longer than a restored chevy, which even if that were true, it still just isnt worth the final price or

bigger, more expensive SUV’s, inflated home prices, hiring freezes/layoffs, and a looming recession.... im trying to think if we’ve ever dealt with this before.

I really hope that’s the case. how you’d amass billions in wealth being a classic idiot really defies the odds but for the sake of humanity, I hope you’re right.
