Already happened at a Phillies game a few years ago, right across the street from where this went down. My days of being involved in this shit are long past.

Didn’t even see him. Blended right in.

I owe you a star for the Red Meat avatar. This one was for the take, which I generally agree with. Once a year, I will get to a game at the Linc. But anymore, I enjoy games at home - better food, no line at the john, fewer assholes.

Exhibit 1 for why I won’t take my daughters to Eagles games - ever - and I won’t take my sons until they’re bigger than me and/or can defend themselves. And I say this as a lifelong Eagles fan.

I am so white I glow. AND yet, this didn’t trigger me. AND this is funny. AND Chris Rock is hilarious. People triggered by this (and not by actual racist racism being carried out) need to leave.

I ended a friendship in college over a handle of Popov. Cheers/За здоровье!

I can’t wait for the day my kids buy their own food and pay their own electric bills. They’ll finally understand why I get apoplectic over the knucklehead shit they do.

Schmendrick. Yutz. Farkakte. Schlep.

It’s one thing when you have kids, especially young ones. A friend of mine in college (good Southern Baptist boy) used mild oaths (DAGNABBIT, WHAT THE FREAK) instead of letting it fly in the company of other 20-somethings. Like, if that’s your word to express anger or displeasure, you’re no better than someone else

My goal has always been to have it long enough to turn gray. At 43, I have a little of both.

Yiddish is the most underrated language out there. I am as goyische as a bacon cheeseburger but what a descriptive language.

My cousin was 6'11" in college and went to Duke. He couldn’t even get near the bench without a ticket. Height isn’t enough.

We had a kid move to my tiny suburban Philadelphia high school from Idaho. He was 6'7". You should have seen the look on our basketball coach’s face when he realized that the kid not only couldn’t play, but that he had no interest in playing sports, because he enjoyed acting in school plays.

“Skippy” has morphed into my go-to for the child I am about to interrogate or berate. “Chief” for people other than my children.

My son accidentally put his hand to a moving fan and cut his middle finger when he was about 5. I asked him to let me see it, and he put his whole hand out. I asked him why he didn’t put just Tallman out. He said because it was bad. I was proud and impressed, but I pressed on. I asked him what does it mean that’s bad.

Love the reference. But Jethro thurr ain’t bright enough to make the joke, I reckon.

I would even argue that France or Germany have no sizeable minorities, not as big as in the US.

Vince Carter was a year behind me at UNC. I’ve been out of college over 20 years, with 2 kids in college of my own. This makes me feel younger than it should. Rock on, VC.

Well said. I was rounding in the hospital when this dropped. That morning, they called a cardiac arrest at our pediatric Emergency Department (building has been open almost 9 years, I have been on staff for 12 and NEVER heard it called overhead like that... I’m not a pediatrician but doing critical care for a living

“Me? Naw, I ain’t racist. Summa mah best friends are beaners. Honey! What’s the name of the guy who mows the lawn? Manuel... something. That’s mah amigo, Manuel. YEE-HAW!”
