I didn’t like 40-man raiding either, but I accept that other people did. What does your attitude of, ‘I personally didn’t find it fun, thus it was objectively not fun’ accomplish?

... No different really than someone posting vitriol anonymously via online discussion about a subject that in no way affects him but he still MUST be heard.

Dude, you’re being a dick. There’s nothing wrong with being happy about getting better at something. Ask any artist and they’d agree with me.

A decent person would probably just say “oh okay, he felt like putting this video out, so whatever that’s his business. Doesn’t hurt me either way.”...

90% of the videos I’ve watched of him are NOT his gameplay videos, but more these kind of videos where he talks about different stuff related to himself and his work.

If praise is to be given, I think trying to be a decent human being is one of them. Not enough people try anymore.

It can be incredibly difficult and complicated for a person to confront their own prejudices. We are often blind to these faults and when confronted tend to lean on denial and defensiveness.

I actually have a lot more respect for PewDiePie than I used to. He’s a really good example of how not to be ruined by fame. He could’ve easily been another Justin Bieber, but he stays humble and true to himself and his fans.

Thinking differently from others is fine, but when you voice those thoughts in an insulting fashion while acting in a professional capacity as a company representative, things get a little dicey.

If they're going to make it realistic, they have to make the end game goal not only to end up in a European country, but bypass dozens of perfectly suitable countries until we get to one with free benefits.

His argument is also complete BS cuz sitting at a computer and “pushing a mouse” all day is actually grueling! I’m an environmental scientist, and my typical work year toggles between months of outdoor physical labor and months of desk work (ie. analyzing and interpreting data on a computer). Guess what - the months

Ugh. Articles like this infuriate me. I’m in the industry, work for a well-known developer. We’ve taken steps to mitigate crunch as best we can, and for the most part, it’s effective. There are still, however, times when we’re approaching a milestone where we have to buckle in and put in some serious hours. But I’m

There’s other things he deserves to eat dick for. Art isn’t its own reward and artists deserve to get paid.

Comparing people who are underpaid to people who are even worse underpaid doesn’t mean everyone is suddenly not underpaid.

I really enjoy my job and am lucky to have a large creative influence on what I work on. However, by and large there’s just not enough individul creative freedom to go around to give anyone the right tell the indivuals of a game team “shut up, don’t complain, you get to make art!” does the guy doing optimizations feel

The problem of course with his argument is that it’s complete bullshit. If it’s art, and not supposed to pay well, why do AAA titles have profit margins at all? Why are executives getting paid millions of dollars if it’s not about the money? Look at the GTA assholes with their 150 million dollar paycheck. It’s the

I think many people would agree that an occasional 16-hour work day can be tolerable and even exhilarating when you’re working on something you really care about. I’ve done that quite a few times for stories at Kotaku, always by choice, because I really wanted to finish up something that mattered to me.

Let me be pretty clear on this fucking subject.

Yeah, fuck those guys trying to get word out about what a fair wage is!

I enjoy that we’ve gotten to the point where we have a nifty little hashtag to mock people who insist that you shouldn’t discriminate against an entire group for the actions of the individuals inside of it.
