One person’s pest is another person’s pet. My wife would give anything to have a capy as a pet. She absolutely loves them. But of course it is illegal to keep one in California. So we have the next best thing, their close cousin the guinea pig. In fact our pigs are wheeking at me from the adjacent bedroom right now.

Not overly aggressive but quite venomous as you’d expect.

What’s especially weird to me is that Republican politicians seem to be doing everything possible to set up their voters to die from COVID. How does that help them with re-election?

I’ve been an airplane geek my whole life but until now was not aware that such a room existed beneath the cockpit. The door to the cargo area was another big surprise.

Yes I know that. But given the hard data the military has gathered on how these craft move, it’s hard to imagine it being anything else.

I’m normally into a good alien invasion flick, but with the sudden recent confirmations from high level officials of frequent military encounters with UFOs, it’s almost feeling like this topic is hitting too close to home. We’ll see how everyone feels after the June 25th report to Congress and other news releases

Indy’s mad dash to the river to swing on the rope and escape by float plane was my personal favorite, but that’s partly because I got to visit that spot during a Kauai ATV tour. Definitely a must-visit if you go to Kauai.

What are the fast-charging options for someone who travels with this vehicle?

What are the fast charging options for this truck?

Uh, what?

I agree with this take. I’ve owned an iPad since the first generation model. Currently have a second generation 11" iPad Pro. It’s a sleek and powerful device but I don’t get nearly enough use out of it given its horsepower or cost. I have tried many times to develop a productive workflow on it but usually find myself

This isn’t about me. I was making a larger point about how the CDC rushed this. My situation is just an example of why.

True, but how are we supposed to know the difference between umasked vaccinated people and those that are not vaccinated? How are we supposed to go to a store or an event and feel safe with our daughter, when we know a decent percent of the unmasked people around us are not vaccinated and could be carriers? Giving us

I mostly agree, except that parents couldn’t get their 12-15 year olds vaccinated until starting last Thursday. Remember that kids in their teens are not as resilient to COVID as younger kids. They react more like adults (ie. higher chance to end up in the hospital). They also socialize more and are harder to keep at

CA just announced today that they will stick with the June 15 date. That gives the public and businesses four weeks to prepare. It gives people time to get vaccinated and build some immunity if they haven’t yet. It gives parents a little time to get their 12-15 year olds vaccinated (that window just opened). It gives

One day we would love to spend more than a few hours there. It was a few hour stop for us while driving from Prague to Salzburg, but we were able to take amazing photos, walk through the town up to the castle, and eat a Trdelnik. There were lots of other things I wanted to do there, but it was getting late

The problem with the timing and way that they announced this is that it will create massive confusion, frustration and anger, and ultimately make people less safe.

My first engineering job out of college was for the City of San Francisco. I joined shortly after they filmed a scene from this movie at the city’s wastewater treatment plant (in one of the rooms with a bunch of pipes and valves). The staff talked a lot about that day. I was bummed that I didn’t get to see it.

Coincidentally, that red circle falls right in the center of the region my family explored on our last European vacation. Cesky Krumlov was especially memorable - right out of a fairy tale. Glad this was only a simulation!

I’m afraid Trumpism is far from behind us. It’s simmering beneath the surface, and could rear it’s head in the next election. They are still fundraising quite successfully for crap like this. As long as Republican voters continue to believe the Dems cheated (many do), and as long as they keep digging into their
