I never had the opportunity, but I’ve also never seen a ludicrous mode launch on YouTube that DIDN’T end in huge grins, so it must be true.

My opinion is that anti-gravity technology would be needed to make real, individually-operated, flying cars feasible. Until cars can float, flying will remain only with highly trained pilots. And it will take a lot of energy and cost a ton of money.

“...a system that was totally insufficient...”

Now that I’m aware of just how close full autonomy really is, seems like every day while driving around idiots on the road or in terrible traffic, I find myself saying “self-driving cars can’t come soon enough”.

Tesla WANTS more electric car competition. So that Tesla can be everyone else’s battery supplier. That's partly what the Gigafactory is for.

I think they already are better. Case in point: I was driving in the Bay Area today and came alongside a brand-new Tesla in the fast lane going about 75. Looked over to see the driver completely ignoring the road while he texted on his phone with both hands. He wasn’t even looking up. But the car was doing a great job

Abso-fuckin-lutely. This guy definitely needs to spend some time in a pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

Sorry, but your response demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of how autopilot on an airplane works. By no means can a pilot safely trust the autopilot to handle everything. Continuous supervision and regular settings changes are required. Also, aircraft autopilot does not do any evasive maneuvers or crash

Yet “autopilot” is the exact same term used in aircraft, and the autopilot in aircraft requires human supervision at all times, just like Tesla’s version.

Well let’s be real here. By starting Tesla, Musk has entered one of the most difficult businesses on the planet (car manufacturing), in which many past companies have failed (American Motors, Tucker, etc.). He went all-in on all-electric vehicles which faces serious headwinds to mass adoption, he is trying to disrupt

He didn’t kill anyone. They killed themselves by ignoring plain and clear warnings and not watching the road.

I’m also in the camp of “one big high-res monitor with multiple floating windows” vs a bunch of separate monitors on the desk, with the awkwardness that goes with it.

Agreed. Wonder if that was his DVD player that somehow made it into the wrecked Tesla after the impact.

May I ask what type of thermostats you had prior to the Nest, and were they programmed?

May I ask what type of thermostats you had prior to the Nest, and were they programmed?

Every so often I still see those. Inevitably the driver is shirtless and wearing an oversized cowboy hat, and there's a confederate flag somewhere on the vehicle.

No thanks.

No thanks.

I’m honestly shocked by the degree of improvements to WatchOS. They say “it’s like a whole new watch” on their website, and they are not kidding. I enjoy my watch a lot but like others really wish it was faster, and that some of the UI was better thought through. I was skeptical that a software revision alone could

So is the new Doom game really that great? I played the beta and while it was good, when the time came to make a buy decision, a friend convinced me to pick up Halo 5 instead (on sale for $25) for it’s excellent multiplayer mode. I have to say it feels like a great choice. It runs at 1080p 60, has amazing graphics,

Only Musk would have the balls to even suggest something like that.
