I’d assume not very drunk at all when you consider that their government, who chop off people’s hands and stone people to death for adultery, enforces a no drinking rule.

There definitely was a propagandist aspect to it, which was definitely needed as war bonds were sold a plenty using it, but the idea that raising a flag on Mt. Suribachi did not help the US win that battle is indeed a bit foolhardy.

The NFL makes a shit ton of money. That is the sole reason he is where he is. Sure, he is incompetent at times, but he makes a SHIT TON OF MONEY for his employers.

Goodell doesn’t need to weigh in on literally everything. Tagliabue didn’t, and this is a guy who is not a good speaker.

Nobody is saying that he is worth more than other people. But if someone is genuinely sick and has the assets to try to help themselves in some way, why the fuck should they suffer in silence and die? What the hell did this guy do to you to warrant such callousness about his life?

I would hope that regardless of someone’s socioeconomic status that someone who had truly altruistic motives would step forward and help their fellow man on their own accord.

Most of those teams did not build through the draft. The Penguins, with Crosby, and the Hawks, with Kane, got their centerpieces high up, but they did not build a roster through the draft.

The Rangers play and dump and chase system that relies on speed, yes, but also physicality on the fore check and a desire to block shots. They aren’t soft. Its part of the reason that their series with the Caps is a giant ass grind fest.

I’d say the PowerPlay has been consistently awful since Jagr left almost 10 years ago. I thought it was a symptom of having poor talent and then an anti-offense coach in Tortorella. Its probably organizational.
