@Night Elf Mohawk: Poll: Will Night Elf Mohawk be the new Comment Overlord's first disemvowelment?

@shangle: That's pretty shiny, thanks!

@RabbitRun: Another vote for TrueCrypt. I set up system encryption so that if your computer is off or in hibernation, they need the master password to get in. Make encrypted containers to hold your sensitive files (email, documents, KeePass databases, etc).

@efeghali: I think this does all I need to. The firefox addon was really temperamental for me. A lot of the time, it wouldn't ever load.

I've been looking for something exactly like this! Will try it out when I get home.

I need a good website to watch live returns, preferably aggregated from the major news sources. Any suggestions?

Another case of Google Gadgets breaking the "always use https" option. That's a dealbreaker for me.

If I use something like the "always use https" in Gmail and/or force Docs/Reader/Calendar to use https (via CustomizeGoogle FF extension), would the data that this script pulls into Gmail from those apps still go across https?

The only scanned documents I'd want this for are banking or tax related, so... that's not something I'd want even indexed in the cloud, privacy policy be damned.

Sigh... I want to like gChat, I do... I just wish they'd fix/improve gContacts already.

My attempt to use the Google Docs and Google Calendar widgets pushed my GMail out of SSL (the address was still https, but the connection wasn't secure).

@jkrell: I had a lot of problems with the RTM for Gmail not connecting or something. It just wouldn't show up a quarter of the time, but then might mysteriously show again the next time I logged in. Seemed very inconsistent. Prolly a conflict with one of the Better Gmail skins I was using at the time.

@krom: They cut some blogs and allocated hiring for others.

Awesome! Congratulations!

@numike: I personally prefer a TrueCrypt system partition to a BIOS password.

@sir_eccles: Technically, they are still represented, as they are constituents of elected representatives and senators. But payment of taxes doesn't necessarily confer all the rights of citizenship. Corporations pay taxes too, don't they?

I used VirtualCD9 to "burn" some WMAs to a virtual disc drive, then rerip to MP3. Didn't waste a disc that way.
