When comparing EVs to ICE it’s actually pretty valid.

This sucks. Reddit in general has become a cruddy cesspool of comments-section politics and infighting, but it’s still very useful for some niche communities for things like certain video games or entertainment series, my specific cell phone model, my specific car model. And the handful of unique fun or interesting

The map definitely took some time to figure out, but the 3D nature of it allowed me to piece together gaps multiple times and discover routes that would connect areas, etc. I guess I had a bit of practice navigating with the 3D interface from the Dead Space games so that probably helped me adapt. It’s hard to

As an AP2 owner, this is a definite NP. Values are only going up for clean examples. One of the last true analog sports cars. I agree that it looks timeless, a perk of a clean and simple design instead of flashy and loud. And if you take care of it and don’t wring it out, they’ve been shown to last several hundred

On a sleek car with good lines, a proper metallic silver can look excellent. Those cases are exempt from the desaturation of the roads, IMHO. It’s why my S2000 is silver. While I love yellow on cars, I don’t want any extra attention on something already as head-turning as a convertible.

Get an old 360 or ps3 and grab Blur! The most fun I’ve had with splitscreen racing in my whole life. Mario kart for adults—adds just enough skill to make it extremely rewarding, plus the benefit of cool cars and slightly more involved powerup strategy. A complex yet arcadey approach to the handling model and powerup

I imagine it’s more about the packaging. It really is cramped in those things and you lose out on a lot of practically with the stylish shape.

The wheels are very very neato and the thing is a gorgeous land-yacht overall. But agreed on the front triangle. Doesn’t hurt me as bad as most people seem to feel, but there has to be a better resolution. It’s as bad of a front end as the new Alfa Giulia— I get that they have to utilize the iconic triangular Alfa

The whole BMW sedan line have gotten so chunky they had to slot new models in beneath them in the gaps. The 3 got so big they made the 2, etc

Fanboost just makes it feel like a scripted reality TV show instead of racing. Like WWE vs UFC.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Volt. Nice.

Fair. I guess by young I really meant “young on the scale of people buying luxury cars.”

Not that they don’t make a cool car. In fact some of my favorites in recent years. All the V line cars, especially lately, are super cool. But a lot of their sales demographics still skew older, and surveys still show them to be perceived as an older brand to the average buyer.

It means a lot to me to reach this point so deep in a comments section. Moments like this give me hope. I’m trying to improve too and I’m genuinely happy we had this lil chat, months on.

Brand loyalty and image. Volvo have rebranded to be cool, modern, and popular with young folks, while Caddy still battle their image as an old-people brand. The Polestar is aimed much further upmarket.

Same. Reminds of the Citroen C4 but not executed as well.

Eh, I only come here for the occasional article that my Google overlords throw at me. And I only look at my noties here occasionally. I dunno, all the gawker comment threads these days just seem like spiralling arguments where everyone assumes that other people are the worst. I replied while hammered last night, sorry

The A110 is one of the last true lightweight sports cars. Lotus have always been the last bastion, but they’ve sent their farewell telegram with the Emira, which is by no means light (though IMHO the best new dream-car enthusiast option). We are seeing the twilight of true handling-focused cars. I wouldn’t get this R m

Ah cool you’re right. Forgive me for wanting gaming news and content that isn’t extremely politicized rather than focused on content. There are times and places for it, but constantly having to discuss politics, at least in the current black-and-white “my way or burn in hell” fashion, is exhausting and depressing.

As an xtrek owner who is fully aware it’s just a lifted Impreza with plastic cladding to appeal to the current “outdoorsy lifestyle” trend, I love it. I have zero reason to recommend it to most people (no one really needs AWD in most places), but it suits my needs and it was an emotional decision, not a fully logical
