The S2k was always my affordable dream car. It’s everything I like: lightweight, high revving, manual, timelessly styled with great proportions and lines, and—here’s the kicker that makes the s2000 truly special—solely focused on driver experience making almost zero specific compromises to make it a better daily.

Just played 2 for the first time. The ending was emotionally staggering and plenty of moments during it were painful. But just like the first game, it’s a perfect example of truly human writing and storytelling. These characters feel more like real people than just about any other piece of media I’ve ever watched,

CoD is so weird. It’s like all the mainline sports games: the confines of the series gameplay/sport mean that room for change is very limited, but at the same time, they have to produce a whole new game each year, whether a hit or a miss or a blatant remake or copy of a previous year.

I’ve started laying on the horn if it’s a bad enough offense. I’m normally a very polite person but at this point I’m just over it, especially when it’s clearly negligence.

I’ve been pretty lucky, but I’ve also picked widely reliable cars. S2000 runs like a top at 80k mi. My 2010 Golf is still kicking as my dad’s work vehicle, my 2011 GTI was nearly the perfect vehicle, the two 1999 CRVs I’ve owned were both aging well and durable. I now have a 2008 Volvo C30 from the Ford years with

Working on selling a 2017 Crosstrek now. Seats totally lack lumbar support, not comfy for any drive longer than an hour. I realized it was only a cool car with the offroad bits i installed on it that made dailying it far less comfy (roof rack, wheels and tires, exhaust) plus started hearing some rattles that made me

Had the same thing on my ‘11 GTI! Ended up being a plug and play sensor I picked up from autozone and did in about 3 minutes. Scary as shit though when it happened. Not a pleasant tone from the car’s computer warning system!

My Mk6 GTI was amazing while I had it, only issue I can remember was an O2 sensor going out that was a plug and play quick fix. In general I was also raised to believe japanese cars were the way to go, but I had a great experience with my GTI. That was also when they were still built at the German plant, not the new

I agree with most of what you have to say and I’m not a jeep person. I’m usually one of those people that says almost no one needs a giant truck for normal use. I love compact or short bed trucks, I think they make sense for the average person, I just wish they were still the size of the old ranger!

Yeah, I used to care about rear legroom, but then I came to realize that’s a passenger problem, not a driver problem 😎

I used to think like that but then I remembered I'm not the one in the backseat. That's a problem for my buddies to deal with

I am someone who only in the last 8-10yrs realized just how special Lotus is as a brand, even moreso in the age where very, very few new cars appeal to me, and even fewer offer a manual. Lotus has been the last bastion of a fading era, fighting against the forces of driving numbness and increasing weights. They’re stil

Love it. I’m considering buying one right now, actually. Unique but still gorgeous, I think they're worth the compromises for interior space and rear visibility. Plus, of course, manual option!

The sedan looks great, but I think the hatch is more exciting and unique, despite the compromises of viewing angles and interior space for that cool roofline!

I’m a casual player who played a good amount of 4A. I really enjoyed it and got into the tinkering a bit even though I really didnt know what I was doing. AC definitely seems to have its own feel as a series. The quick boost was already there for dodge-roll mechanics, so to me it sort of feels natural to take some

HLD is probably my favorite game. I was a bit disappointed when I saw they were going 3D and completely changing, well, almost everything that made HLD amazing. I had never spent much time with a top-down zelda-esque game before but really came to enjoy it. I thought the art style was amazing. The 3D approach reveals

I don’t understand anyone who gets mad at a character’s identifying characteristics. Some of my favorite protagonists in gaming have been women, from Ellie in TLOU to Faith in ME to Samus Aran. I even thought it was badass that the Rebel marksman in the OG Battlefront II was a female and loved playing as her.

I know it doesn’t make sense, but I completely agree. Volvo has always done things a little differently (though usually very, very well). They’re not mass production, they’re not quite full luxury. As a result, they aren’t the car for everybody. Fewer people buy them than a lot of other brands, so seeing certain

Ok, yeah, I guess I should have said cars will all “accelerate” the same, not “drive” the same. So let me clarify. In any EV, you’ll hit the Go pedal, the car will silently and linearly accelerate, and the only point of differentiation will be how quickly it does.

I agree entirely with you. But that isn’t why I replied to OP. I’m challenging their opinion that “soul” isn’t a valid argument with cars.
